Switzerland finale! 7th, 8th, 9th & 10th stops in 4 towns - St. Moritz, the Bernina Express train to Italy to visit Tirano for the day, a stop at Lindt Chocolate Global HQ in Kilchberg (yum!), then return to Zurich for a farewell group dinner with our tour family & heading home. 🥹🇺🇸 Great meal & ambiance Hotel @mamashelterzurich.ch

Fantastic way to end an epic adventure! Greg & I absolutely loved our trip, made even more special by traveling with Scott and Paula @paulagrovergray. 🥰 HUGE fans of Switzerland forever! 🇨🇭⛰️🍫🍬🧀

Switzerland! 6th stop - The Glacier Express train!! @glacierexpress.ch Long & comfy journey to Zermatt, the closest town to the Matterhorn. Cars are not allowed except for passenger electric vehicles. Zermatt is warm & welcoming - we loved it! We even got to see a sextet play the Alphorn. @zermatt.matterhorn

The Gornergrat Mountain Ridge is almost 11,000 feet in elevation. Best views of the Matterhorn. My fear of heights was in overload AGAIN (Lord have mercy), but I conquered it! We hiked 1/4 of the way down to the next train station. Seeing glaciers that have split due to melting was ALARMING. 😭 @gornergrat

We found a great restaurant down the mountain, Alphitta -- one of our favorites -- highly recommend! Nice singing, too! ⛰️💖🚇🇨🇭🎿🎶 @restaurant_alphitta

Switzerland! 5th stop - Montreux and Veytaux on Lake Geneva. Montreux was almost tropical compared to other parts of Switzerland & has a cool vibe. We learned Freddie Mercury lived here & loved the city (see statue!). Delish meal with beautiful sunset views.

Nice walk along the lake to Veytaux, where we visited the Chateau de Chillon (Chillon Castle), a medieval castle built between the 12th and 13th centuries right on the lake. @chateauchillon Great defensive position! The dungeon/jail was startling (Lord Byron wrote a poem about the isolation) and the castle had so many nooks and crannies you could easily get lost! It was beautiful and haunting. You should definitely visit!!

BTW Switzerland is the only country that never had a monarch!

Switzerland! 4th stop - Switzerland's capital, Bern -- lovely and filled with rich history. Again, an incredible lake! We enjoyed the Bear Park and the historic Clock Tower display at noon. Albert Einstein lived here & got his epiphany on the theory of relativity here. Lots of cool statues including Moses and Hercules. The outdoor market was good shopping. Yea!

We also visited the Lavaux Vineyards on Lake Geneva. The unique grape terraces are a UNESCO Heritage Site. Our host Francesca was wonderful and the wines were delish. We may have bought 2 bottles that will not make it to the U.S. 🍷😂

Switzerland! 3rd stop - Interlaken, which means "between two lakes." Lakes Brienz and Thun surround the Bernese Alps - shades of blue I've never seen! Fun to watch parasailers land in the park and walking the river. We took a funicular to the top of Interlaken, Harder Kulm. Loved it!

The scariest adventure was visiting Trümmelbach Falls, ten levels of waterfalls created by glaciers over millions of years INSIDE the mountain. Lord have mercy, I am working through my fear of heights on this trip! Proud of myself!

Switzerland! 2nd stop - Lucerne (Luzern!) -- what a picturesque city! We had a lovely city tour, then a beautiful Lake Lucerne boat cruise to Mt. Pilatus -- 7,000 ft. elevation. Then an excursion that took us to the top. 😬 OMG the cog wheel train ride up the mountain, then cable car part of the way down, then a 4-person gondola for the last leg! I wanted to kiss the ground when we got to the bottom. 🫣 Fun day & we really loved Lucerne!

Switzerland adventure! Our first stop - Engelberg. Adorable ski town! The vistas are beautiful -- I've discovered a new shade of green for grass 💚 & the food is delish! 🇨🇭

160 years looks great on Towson University! @towsonuniversity Two recent events showcased TU's momentum and impact. We celebrated our Maryland treasure Dr. Nancy Grasmick at the 5th anniversary of the Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute. Her legacy as Superintendent of MD Schools for 20 years poured into her continued commitment to servant leadership and education. "The Heart of Leadership" fits Nancy perfectly as she, Erin Moran, and Kaitlin Bowman have supported thousands of organizations and their growing leaders in their first five years.

The next day, TU President Mark R Ginsberg, Ph.D @mrg171717 gave an inspiring State of the University Address that highlighted TU's prominence as an anchor institution in MD and beyond. Dr. Ginsberg described TU as a university of choice & an engine of opportunity. Truth! For example, Towson was named the #1 public university in MD for the 3rd straight year. And let's recognize our premier students, faculty, staff, partners, and community who contribute to a thriving culture!

Tri- County (MD) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. @tcmdacdst has fun with purpose! Our annual Strikes and Strolls Bowling Party was a success! In addition to proceeds benefiting our scholarships and programs, we held a school supplies drive to support J.P. Ryon Elementary School. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s 55th Eastern Regional Conference Baltimore takeover was epic! The best quality time with my Alumnae Chapter sorors @tcmdacdst & my home Collegiate Chapter sorors @dstmumu_tu (also co-hosts!) at Towson University @towsonuniversity - so much love! Seeing sorors I haven't seen in years and meeting new ones was heartfelt and fun. We even had many International chapters in person representing The East!

Our speakers were next level - including esteemed sorors 🥹- who got us motivated & acknowledged the way Deltas have been showing up in excellence since 1913! Our sessions were on point -- we stay ready! 🔥
Also very cool to have the Divine 9 family at our public meeting. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
