This winter was spent going deep into @backroomsmovie co-composing the score with creative behemoth and truly wonderful human @kanepixels

Learned so much working on cues for these netherworlds and couldn’t be happier with the resulting music we made for this legendary film. Feel very lucky to be part of the hard-working, humble, and supportive team of creatives and producers who brought this to the silver screen.

Could not have done it without the help of @jeffrey.innes who holds the studio down and contributed with incredible additional original compositions.

Huge shout outs to #samueldavidson and @aidenxayers for their recorded performances.

And massive respect to @eugeniobattaglia for his endless missions in mixing and getting the score to sound amazing in theatres and everywhere else. And also to our incredible music editor @swanson.music

Mutant, in partnership with @neonrated , are proud to present the original soundtrack to Osgood Perkin’s latest film KEEPER.

Known for his evocative and psychologically immersive soundscapes, @edovanb brings his haunting, textural style to Perkin’s latest. For the film, Van Breemen crafted a minimalist, organic score built from live acoustic recordings and bespoke sample instruments, incorporating tapping, knocking, and wooden textures that reflect the film’s eerie cabin setting.

Featuring original artwork by @gregthings . 140g single vinyl, pressed on chocolate vinyl, housed in an embossed slipcase with a full-colour cover and a printed insert.

Very excited that @keeper.movie has opened in theatres everywhere. My score is out now on all digital streaming platforms and the good folks at @madebymutant are putting the vinyl out Nov 18th.

The process for making this score was highly collaborative and contributions made by @jeffrey.innes, @_bojm_ , @aidenxayers, & @copyright_linda_fox cannot be understated.

Thank you @osgoodperkins for providing visionary guidance and also giving us enormous creative freedom. Deeply grateful to all the other people who worked so hard on this on set and in post, and for the support of @oddfellowspictures @phobospictures @neonrated by @edovanb

The Track is a coming of age documentary about three friends chasing their improbable Olympic dreams in post-war Bosnia. @thetrackmovie

This film has been premiering all around the world and is now coming to Vancouver for VIFF on October 3 & 5. It recently received the audience choice award at Sarajevo and you can listen to the OST on all streaming platforms.

Not in my most riveting nightmares did I ever imagine composing for a @stephenking film… but here we are with @themonkey_movie opening this upcoming Friday. Thank you dear @osgoodperkins & @oddfellowspictures @neonrated for bringing myself and collaborating composers @jeffrey.innes & @johanneswinkler_composer along for this slashing ride and granting us total creative freedom. This is a rare experience and allowed us to work with some of our most brilliant musician friends @_bojm_ @skimdavidson @grahamvincentjones by @edovanb

Thursday, November 28th is our Fifth installment of COMMUNAL SOUNDS SERIES 2024. #linkinbio for tickets 🎟️

Tutti is a 4D spactial sound immersive concert played through speakers surrounding the room; enveloping listeners in the sonic experience. A 45 minute set will be performed through synths, electronics and voice, both structured composition and improvised.

PLUS DJ sets from DJ Dampfnudel (Galiano Island)

ALEXANDER OVERINGTON is a Peabody Award-winning composer and producer from New York City. His work can be heard in collaborations with Alarm Will Sound, ANOHNI, The New York Times, Radiolab, Roomful of Teeth, David Virelles, VOX Media, Windstar Enterprises LLC, and WNYC Studios.

EDO VAN BREEMEN is a composer and pianist. He is the co-founder of Lobe studio, and has worked extensively on spatial sound projects. He is currently dabbling in the horror film genre, composing music for Stephen King’s, “The Monkey”.

JENN BOJM is a musician and vocalist from Vancouver BC. Most recently she returned from a residency in Florence Italy where she studied baroque technique and repertoire. She has recorded two solo records, namely ‘Battlestar’ recorded with producer Colin Cowan. She has collaborated with many projects over the years including Elastic Stars, Jenn Bojm and Khingfisher and Dada Plan, among others.

DJ DAMFNUDEL Born in Munich, Wolfgang Matthes is a renowned composer and sound designer with a vast array of international credentials from Berlin to Los-Angeles. Now living on Galiano Island he is currently working on a follow up release with Roedelius / Matthes - Curious Music and new personal music.

In 2019 I was invited by @heiltsukcouncil to make spatial audio recordings of their Gvúkva’áus Haíłzaqv (Big House) opening ceremony as part of a cultural media archive. Now in 2024 we are working together again with @heiltsuklanguagerevitalization on creating more extensive recordings to be used as educational tools in their language school. These are some photos from then and now. I’m deeply appreciative and excited to be collaborating on this project. 🙌🏼🙏🏼🪶 taken in Heiltsuk Territory by @edovanb
