— I have a pompous pettiness about me that ages in oak barrels and the tannins are splendor that words fail grasp

humble only because I wouldn’t be able to stand listening to myself talk about myself from dusk to dawn in regards to how talented and hardworking I am.

if I were ever in need of flexing, custom body casts would be offered as next-day air fedex for all onlookers, courtesy of Heru.

what an honor to have this piece on display at the AKG since February…it will all be a memory through hashtags and photos and reels as of June 9…the show concludes…work removed..world continues its rotation and tilt

I love my caps and hats, fashionably, yet metaphorically have never rested my hat on any accomplishments whatsoever…therein lies an interesting investigation of self:
1) is my sense of accomplishment insatiable?
2) do I think I’m undeserving of celebration and cheer?
3) am I already satisfied in life as is, and the exterior or outward expression of “art-making” is just accoutrements to the main dish, which is just being blessed and dope af as a human, hubby and dad?

— how it began
April 2026
1) Grand Phee: “bro, I know you making beats and stuff, you gotta see this MPC Sample”
2) Phee comes to the Eat Off Art Studio and pulls the machine out of his bag and shows me what he’s learned in the short period since it dropped.
3) I pressed a few pads, messed around until the battery died
4) it was close to my bday so I was convinced it was a must have and I ordered at THAT moment while he was there.
5) waited until June to receive it and almost canceled the order because the back order was so delayed
6) started learning by trial and error…
7) it’s September and I know enough to at least feel good enough about what I’m making
