A few months back we headed over to Baja California, Mexico with some homies for a true adventure. We immersed ourselves in all the splendor and beauty Baja has to offer. As gorgeous as it is, It can be equally as brutal. Read all about in the upcoming issue number 2 of The Faction Moto magazine💥

Thanks to @suckafreemiked , @julio_el_hitman and @a_centanni_6.14.14 for the good times.

Sometimes I like to revisit past photoshoots, viewing them from a slightly different perspective and do some re-mixes. Here are some outtakes from my shoot for @dicemagazine - Issue 109, featuring @the74ormore and his '57 XL. The issue is available in digital and print formats in the DicE store; peep the link in their Instagram bio. taken in Hanford, California by @edsubias

I'm not always photographing two-wheeled stuff. If you know me, you know I love shooting everything that goes on in Los Angeles. Thanks to @4_the_vibez / @fiamma.photomeets / @fireflowla for the fun last month🔥

I’m glad to see @edsubias is publishing print motorcycle publications with @thefactionmoto.

Years ago as a ballet dad I’d walk over from @milwaukeeballet and sit at @fuelcafemilwaukee to do homework and read and kill time in the company of motorcycles and people who ride them.

One night met a guy hanging out who was:
1. Also named Ed.
2. Also wrote and took photographs;
3. About motorcycles and
4. We had work published in the very same issue of the epic art/motorcycle racing magazine from England called @sideburnmag.

I was always glad to see and talk with Ed and he’s now back home in California putting together all kinds of motorcycle events and photo/video media behind the scenes of various companies.

Here in this one is Milwaukee’s @rustorationcycles on the cover and inside they discuss his world record speed runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats.

Great day when work by and about good people arrives into your mailbox.

Pick up your copies of the Faction Moto via internet mail order today.

New rescheduled date for this event I'm putting on -
Free professional portrait style photos of you and your bike. Just pull up.
The 'Mugshots & Motos' Ride In Photo Booth, hosted by @thefactionmoto takes place on Friday, June 12th, from 8 PM to 11 PM in downtown Los Angeles, CA.
Feel free to hang out for a while or head out after your photos—either way, it’ll be a good time!
We’ll be giving away a load of prizes from our good friends @biltwell 🙌🏽 ( First 24 riders in attendance will receive free gloves). One lucky person will go home with a Gringo SV helmet. A gang of $100 Biltwell gift cards will be given away too! All you have to do is ride your motorcycle to the event.

Refreshments will be provided by our pals @legaleaglelawfirm

All participants will receive a link to a Dropbox folder where the photos will be uploaded.

Please send us a DM for the event location, as the directions can be a bit tricky. (Google Maps and Apple Maps may lead you to the wrong spot, even with the correct address.) The location is the exact spot pictured here—if you know, you know.
Everyone And All bikes welcome.

Ride in, strike a pose, and ride out!

O5/31/2020 • 2:36 PM • Lake Elsinore, CA • @hellonwheelsmc race • This is an example of being in the right place at the right time for a photo. I had been waiting by the jump to capture the riders as they caught air, saw the 5 riders approaching in close knit formation then quickly thought that maybe I could get all of them in air at the same time. I looked through the camera viewfinder and waited for the split second they were all in the air and snapped the pic. One shot. Got it. I almost never shoot in continuous mode (which one might think would work better in this situation) because in my opinion, you never capture the subject at the peak of its action. You end up with 20 shots that are close but not "it". You might as well be pulling a still frame from a video. Anyways that's enough of my rambling, I feel the photo is heavy on the "On Any Sunday" movie vibes. Be sure to swipe left.

05/16/26 • Los Angeles, CA • @dead_city_punx_ performing “ Out On Bail”. There is nothing like a Dead City show, and I mean nothing. They are known for their chaotic generator powered pop up shows in covert locations. I don’t have the words to justifiably describe what the vibe and experience of these shows are in person. Videos give you a bit of it but man, the energy of it all is simply amazing, raw and vitalizing.

Some clips from tonight at Ruby's Diner in Whittier, CA. Every Friday throughout the summer, there is a classic car show for American cars. Always some cool rides and even cooler people. If you're ever in the area on a Friday, be sure to check it out. Southern California Car Culture is like no other.
