Please share! Frome's Community Fridge needs your support.

Every year, our Community Fridge saves a whopping 100 tonnes of good food from going to waste. That's roughly the weight of four early Boeing 737s!

All that food is shared for free with local people.

We need your help to cover the costs of keeping the project running and viable in the long-term.

Could you spare £5 a month? Every little helps.

Become a Friend of the Fridge and help us keep sharing good food with our community for years to come.

You'll also be automatically entered into our hamper prize draw every six months too! (or enter for free by post, more to come on that)

Fancy being a Friend?

Hi, I’m James! I’ve started a business: to help small business owners get some of their time back, do more of what matters to them, and lighten the load.

It’s called BusyOctopus.

I’m running half-day workshops to give you 3 skills utilising AI that you can take away to save you hours every week.

And I offer custom-built 1:1 solutions for you too, that are tailored for you and your work, that you can keep using, without losing your human touch or compromising on your values (like using AI posters, which I don’t recommend. And I can show you lower impact models that run on renewable energy, for example)

I’m testing if this is something local people want

Follow @busyoctopusai if you’d like to see it develop.

The UK's first Community Fridge started right here in Frome.

Every day, our lovely volunteers rescue great food that might otherwise go to waste and share it for free with local people.

Anyone can use it. No forms, no referrals, no questions asked. Just good food being shared instead of thrown away.

And you can help keep it going!

We are looking for some Friends. Become a Friend of the Fridge and give just £10 a month. Your support helps us to cover the everyday essentials and keep good food going to people, not bins.

Plus, as a little thank you, you'll be entered into our hamper prize draw every six months!

The fridge saves 40 tonnes of food from going to waste every year. That's the equivalent to the weight of 9000 adult cats!

Imagine what we could do if lots of us chipped in just a little.

Fancy being a part of it?

Become a Friend of the Fridge today. edventurefrome.org/communityfridge/

Alfie is creating a new ergonomic backpack. (He's on our Enterprising Together programme)

He's currently testing how to take the weight off of the neck and torso for a small, versatile, expandable backpack, which can be used from commuting to adventures away from home.

He’d love your input:

What do you find causes the most discomfort in your everyday carry bag, and what features do you think are most important to solve that?

Comment below or send us a message, and we’ll pass your thoughts on to Alfie. by @edventurefrome
