Something a little different for this one, regularly scheduled posts back after this.

I got a message from a parent of a kid I’ve been working with the last few months, and it’s been remarkable to see his growth.

Things like this remind me how much of an impact we as coaches can have on our students, and it’s so rewarding to see that they’ve started to have the same experience that I did.

I’ve said to a few friends and other coaches that these kids are my kids, and they love to give me grief about it. But that’s genuinely how it feels. The relationships I’ve built with these kids have been meaningful in a way I didn’t fully expect. Watching them grow as players and as people, seeing their confidence build, and knowing I’ve had a hand in that has been one of the most fulfilling parts of this job.

To the parents who have trusted me with that opportunity, thank you. It means a lot to be part of your kids’ journeys, and I’m excited for everything still ahead.

A huge thank you to @peak_pickleball_club for taking a chance on me. I’m looking forward to continuing to build with you all. Big things coming soon. by @edwardgardner_pb

This summer, between my pickleball and other training, I started going to Plunj Park City to focus on recovery.

Since I started doing this, I’ve felt more relaxed, stronger, and more energized. Give it a try, using my code FIRSTTIMER for 50% off your first visit. taken in Park City, Utah by @edwardgardner_pb

Finally done with this B.S.

What a way to go out. Tons of new experiences and friends, and I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support.

Of course huge huge huge shoutout to @gypsy.gretchen for putting up with me these last 5 years and helping me to get across the finish line. Love you mom!

Onto the next chapter. GO UTES!
