New 36”x36” original painting from my Tidal Blooms series, an ongoing exploration of coastal light and texture. It translates the shifting moods of the shoreline, from dawn light and shallow water to sea foam and low tide, into dense, sculptural fields of abstracted blossoms.

Each work is built in thick layers of palette-knife impasto, so the surface itself catches light the way water does, shifting from a serene, unified field at a distance to rich painterly detail up close. by @edwardrittenberg

Wait until you see this one up close.

Edward Rittenberg’s florals are all about the layers of color, movement, and that incredible impasto texture that really comes alive when you see it in person.
