Project/ Life Under The Blocks
- Cracked selfies.

Including myself into the project was never part of the plan. But somewhere along the way it just happened, and now I can’t stop.

from my project: Life Under the Blocks.

A long-term documentary project about the Braemblokken in Antwerp, designed by Belgian architect Renaat Braem.

For over a year, I’ve been photographing what happens outside, the buildings, the spaces, the light, the people moving around them.

This week was different.
First time going inside.

From architecture to real life.
From distance to something more personal.

This is a new chapter in the project. Still a lot to explore, but this is where it starts to shift.

Special thanks to @woonhaven for the trust and support I get for making this project. 🖤

If you want to follow the full story, the process, and everything behind the scenes, I will be sharing it on my website.

Part 1 of Moros y Cristianos in Callosa d’en Sarrià 🇪🇸

Every year, the town comes alive with the traditional Moors and Christians festival, celebrating centuries of history through incredible costumes, music and parades.

Yesterday was all about the Christians. Today I’m heading back for part 2, the Moors!

I finally found some time to do some decent street photography again, and what better place to go then Benidorm on a national holiday.

Life has been a little busy and I have been shooting a lot of analog lately, which I will develop myself as soon as I receive my AGO processor from @vintagevisual.eu , so a lot of images are on its way, stay tuned! 🎞️📸

First scans from Carmencita are in! 🎞️

Shot on the Nikon F2 with Kodak Ektar 100.
Still getting to know this camera, but really happy with how this first roll turned out.

And those Ektar colours… 🤌🏼

Also went for scans with the original film borders this time. Love how they turned out!

Hard light, deep shadow, and whatever survives in between 🖤

Photographer Spotlight: Eline Deckers @edxsnaps

Eline Deckers shoots Antwerp with the contrast turned all the way up. Her black and white street photography is built on extremes: figures reduced to clean silhouettes, commuters smeared into ghosts, a single wedge of sun cutting someone out of a concrete wall. Every so often a frame keeps its color, and it lands like someone turning the lights on.

She is not interested in showing you everything. Leaving half the frame in darkness is how she decides what deserves to be seen, and she would rather stand close with a wide lens than hide across the street with a zoom. There is real warmth under all that noir too: a cat in a window, a stack of dead televisions, a kid running along a wall against an enormous sky.
