Once you’ve looked suffering in the eye, luxury stops impressing you.
This profound truth is a humbling reminder of what truly matters. True wealth isn’t found in material things, but in the resilience, genuine smiles, and strength of those who find joy in simplicity. Let’s learn to be more grateful for the life we have today.

One meal can’t change the world, but it can change someone’s day.
Seeing the pure joy and endless energy of these children in Sumba reminds us of the power of giving.
Proudly supported by @butterproteinclub , we are bringing free, nutritious meals to fuel their big dreams and brighter futures.
Let’s keep spreading the goodness! 1$ = 1 Meal

Imagine trying to chase your dreams on an empty stomach. In many hard to reach and underdeveloped areas of Sumba, this is a daily reality. Entire communities are living with very limited resources, and children often have to grow up relying on whatever scarce nutrition happens to be available to them.
But hope is being served, one meal at a time.
The mission is to change this narrative by providing nutritious food to these children in a way that is both continuous and sustainable. The first priority is reaching schools in remote areas with limited access to ensure every student gets the nourishment they deserve. This program was created to guarantee that these children receive the vital nutrition they need to learn, grow, and finally reach their full, incredible potential.
Join the journey to make a lasting difference alongside Yayasan Jejak Kasih Indonesia and the effort X foundation. Together, we can fuel the future.

81 years of independence, yet so many Indonesian children are still struggling just to meet their daily nutritional needs.

The spirit of independence shines brightly from the students of SD Masehi Wai Wei as they salute the Red and White flag. Behind those proud uniforms, they need proper nutrition to keep marching tall toward their future. The presence of Yayasan Jejak Kasih Indonesia and the Effort Foundation sharing nutritious meals is living proof that our care can truly change their reality.

True independence starts with a healthy generation. Join us to ensure no child ever has to learn on an empty stomach!

The first of many recaps and content pieces from our week long Sumba Crossing. We four runners started as strangers, brought together for God’s greater purpose. And we become the Wai Wei Squad; forging a bond through shared experiences! So proud to call you all family and friends! We have so much more to do together!

Thank you to the @effortxfoundation @effortrun team and to @yayasan.jejakkasih for putting this together and connecting us together and connecting us with the Sumba kids and locals!
Huge shoutout and big thanks to Bapak @aldydelavega and the entire Sumba Crossing Comittee and volunteers led by @umbuhunggurami93 and all our sponsors and donators!

By the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, Team Wai Wei will be back to do much more!

Day 3 of Sumba Crossing ✨ Team Wai Wei made it to Lewa and WOW it was incredible!!! Memories made for a lifetime ! We were all so excited for Lewa because we heard so much about it from @effortrun and @yayasan.jejakkasih and surely it topped our expectations!

We are beyond grateful to have been able to meet, play, dance and help the children of SDM Wai Wei, and we’ll keep continuing to raise awareness and donations to help the kids in Sumba. Hopefully @effortxfoundation @yayasan.jejakkasih can start with building a kitchen to cook meals for the children, pregnant and nursing Mothers in Sumba. If you can spread the word or help donating, every little bit will help for a better future of the children in Sumba 🫶🏽 Donation link in my bio taken in Lewa, Sumba Timur by @effortxfoundation

Sumba Crossing bukan sekadar tentang berlari.

Every kilometer out here tests your legs, but it’s the people you meet along the way that carry your heart forward.
During the Sumba Crossing, between the miles of running alongside my team @mikaaffandy @jenniferbachdim and @healthy_pleasure , we crossed paths with a young boy named Rifan and his parents. Rifan looked us in the eye and told us his dream: he wants to serve as a Brimob police officer.
What stopped us in our tracks, though, was his mother. She shared that while she never had the chance to receive a proper education herself, she is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure her son gets his. That level of fierce, quiet devotion is impossible to forget.
That resilience is the entire heartbeat of why we are out here with the @effortxfoundation @effortrun and @yayasan.jejakkasih . This isn’t just an endurance challenge, it’s about miles behind the meals! Standing behind families like Rifan’s, breaking barriers to proper nutrition and education, and making sure big dreams have the foundation they need to become reality.
Miles pass, but purpose stays.
Drop a ❤️ in the comments to send encouragement to Rifan, and head to the link in bio to learn more about supporting the mission.
