We just got married!! I couldn’t have wished for a better day, surrounded by people we love, in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. South Africa, and especially the @alphaexcelsior farm have felt a little bit like home ever since we first visited, and its wonderful people created the perfect evening for @mistyforsberg and I. We will publish more soon but for now, I am just immensely grateful for all the love that has been sent our way, for everyone involved in this special moment, and for my beautiful wife, with whom I am so excited to spend the rest of my life!
.
And one more thank you to Daphné, @olivier.turgeon.35 and @catvaillancourt for the beautiful photos. by @efixroy

This is it. This is what I have been hoping for. This is what I have been working for. A perfect state of flow and control, at the very limit of my possible.
There is so much more I could write about this, and maybe I will at some point, but for now, I am just incredibly grateful for the love and support of my friends, for this place that brings me so much joy, and for this sport I found late in life, that keeps teaching me so much about myself. I turned 40 this year, and I spent the last year and a half dealing with injuries, and still, I just climbed the hardest I have ever climbed. I can only hope for many years of this bliss.

Making the best of these beautiful days of fall in New England! Made some small progress again on Blunt V11 (pics 1 & 2) and Truth and Lies V11 (pic 3) as well as a new highpoint on May it Be V11, all in Smuggler’s Notch, Vermont. Also felt very good on Mr. Natural V10 in Pawtuckaway, New-Hampshire, aside from that super hard heelhook crank! Finally, made a fairly quick send of a super cool V7 roof boulder called Up in Smoke (pics 4 & 5). All in all just a wonderful time with @mistyforsberg and @catvaillancourt !

Back in Vermont for a few days. The weather is perfect for bouldering and the scenery from our camp is so calm and moody. We got to watch beavers, ducks and kingfishers in the sunset after a good day of trying to hard. Happy. by @efixroy

Tuesday’s little harvest. I love how our garden is every day’s answer to “what’s on the menu today?”

The only person I can suffer this much with and still smile the whole time! @mistyforsberg and I have wanted to hike up Mt. Katadhin, the high point of Maine, for many years and we finally did it!! We chose Abol trail, a shorter but more strenuous way up the back side of the mountain, involving a long section of class 3 scrambling. With high winds, big efforts, and a wonderful sunrise, our adventure felt epic and very rewarding! My poor knees on the other hand, did not have much fun…
