Accessibility Week has started! This week is special and important for us, because everyone should be able to enjoy a day at Efteling. ✨🎠 Swipe along and see how we’re making the park more accessible, step by step. 👉

Let’s start with a ride on the Vermolen Carrousel! Thanks to the wheelchair-accessible swan sleigh, even more visitors can join in the fun. You roll your wheelchair right into the sleigh, lock the wheels, and you’re ready for adventure. No transfer needed. 🦢🎠

Having a comfortable place to freshen up is part of a day out too. The Changing Places Toilet has extra space and equipment like a hoist and changing table. This way, guests with a serious and/or multiple disability can enjoy their day more comfortably. ✨

And the stories? You can not only listen to them, but also read them. In the Efteling app, you can find subtitles for three attractions and for all fairytales with spoken stories. Available in Dutch, English, German and French. 📱

Some Efteling inhabitants also tell their story using sign language. 🤟 Can you spot them?

And some Efteling employees use sign language too. You can spot them by their special badge! Together with the Sign Language Centre, we even created signs for Pardoes, Vogel Rok indoor roller coaster, and Big Mouth Holle Bolle Gijs. That way, these characters can be signed too. 🤟

Enjoying the roller coaster is becoming more accessible too. With a specially designed safety strap, a leg prosthesis stays securely in place during the ride. This means visitors with a prosthetic leg can choose for themselves if they want to experience an attraction. Another step towards a more accessible day at Efteling! 🎢✨ by @eftelinguk
