Thoughts on the breakfast buffet? I am not a chill ma - despite my boys listening to NOTHING I say or ask.
HAPPY HALF TERM!👌😆

Anton Pieckplein, waar de nostalgische Efteling-sfeer tot leven komt. Een vleugje magie, een stap terug in de tijd en oog voor elk betoverend detail.. ✨

One week in the Netherlands, four destinations - All via public transport 👌💚

Did you know you can explore some of the best places in the Netherlands using just public transport?

We’re a car-free family and the Netherlands is one of my favourite places for a family holiday without a car. It's so easy to get around, and there's SO much to do with kids beyond Amsterdam!

Here’s our Netherlands family travel itinerary and some of our favourite places to visit:

🚲 AMSTERDAM – Explore the canals, visit the incredible Mouse Mansion (truly my top reccomendation for this city 🤣) discover family-friendly museums and wander around the beautiful streets. Amsterdam is also a brilliant base for day trips using public transport. (We stayed at @wearebunk Hostel)

⛴️ VOLENDAM & MARKEN – Take a bus from Amsterdam to the pretty fishing village of Volendam, then hop on a ferry to Marken. Think colourful Dutch houses, harbours, little museums and gorgeous scenery. (We stayed at Landal in Volendam) @landalnl

🎢 EFTELING – One of the best theme parks in Europe for families! If you love fairytales, immersive theming and magical rides, Efteling is an absolute must. You can get there by train and bus, so there's no need to hire a car. @efteling

🐰 UTRECHT – One of my favourite Dutch cities to explore with kids! Beautiful canals, independent cafés, the Miffy Museum (Nijntje Museum), children's bookshops and even a Miffy-themed hotel room at @stayokayhostels Utrecht!

You can visit ALL of these destinations super easily without a car

If you're planning a Netherlands family holiday, an Amsterdam city break with kids, a European train holiday or looking for easy day trips from Amsterdam, SAVE this post for later!

If you would like to read my blog post with links on creating this journey comment 'Netherlands' and I'll send you a link!

Have you visited the Netherlands with kids? Which Dutch city or attraction would you add to this itinerary? 👇
