When your brain tells you you’re done... you’re actually only at 40%. 🧠💥Most people spend their entire lives quitting right when it starts to hurt. But when you’re training at the highest level, that 40% mark is just where the real workout BEGINS.In this video, I break down what happened when World Champion Edo (@edofoil) and I started our kickboxing sessions, how the pad holder dictates the entire engine, and the lesson I learned training Navy SEALs out at Fort Island that changed my standard forever. When you find an athlete who looks at you sweating right next to them and makes it their personal mission to break you... you know you’ve found something rare. 🥊🔥Watch Part 1 to see how to tap into that extra 60%. 👇 Drop a comment below: Have you ever pushed past your 40% wall, or do you let your brain tell you when to stop?(Part 2 dropping tomorrow on what it REALLY takes to coach at the world-champ level.) by @eganinoue

“Once I pop up, I’m gonna catch everyone.” 🧠🏆Yesterday at the 40-mile M2O World Championship, I watched the true definition of world-class composure, gear strategy, and conditioning.Edo can pop up anytime, anywhere, on anything. But yesterday, he chose a heavy prototype board paired with a small wing.A smaller wing gives you incredible top-end speed, but you have to constantly maintain high speed or you stall and fall off foil. In light wind, getting that heavy setup popped up and keeping it at max speed is a brutal physical demand.I knew if he could just get up, his engine would take over. That’s where the dryland prep we did in the lab (Assault bikes, BFR bands, and boxing) gave him an unfair edge to keep pumping without blowing up!When he failed his first few pop-ups, he was sitting 5 minutes behind the entire field. Instead of panicking, he did what he always tells me to do when he coaches me: Pause. Regroup. Execute. He took a breath, exploded up, and let his conditioning do the talking. The difference between an athlete and a World Champion? You don’t panic when you’re behind, and you don’t slow down when you’re ahead.Even when he passed 1st place, he kept pumping to hold that small wing at max speed like he was still trailing by 5 minutes—finishing nearly 6 minutes ahead at Kaimana Beach. An 11-minute net swing over 40 miles of open ocean, marking his biggest victory margin ever at M2O.Beyond proud of you, @whoedo. Watching you trust your preparation, reset under pressure, and execute like a champion was something I’ll never forget.Maui-to-Molokai 🥇3x M2O World Champion 🏆👑Want to build an engine and a mind that doesn’t panic when the work gets brutal? The plan was to “just get a sweat going.” The reality? 58 minutes in Zone 5.I just got back from 16 days of travel. Even if you stay disciplined in hotel gyms, it is impossible to replicate your peak training intensity while living out of a suitcase—especially when you add a massive time change from Florida to the mix.My conscious mind told me to ease into it. But my trained instinct completely took over the second I hit the water.Sustaining Zone 5 for nearly an hour right after a long trip is objective proof of two things:1. Deep cardiovascular conditioning doesn’t vanish just because you step out of your environment for a few weeks.2. When you train your mindset to remove the internal governor, your baseline capacity becomes higher than most people’s maximum limits. The workplace is a competition, and so is the athletic field. You can’t afford to lose your edge every time you travel or get thrown out of your routine.👉 DM me or comment the word “TEAM” to book a private, high-threshold training program to blast your corporate board or athletic team past their current plateaus.#LongevityLab #Zone5 #HighThresholdTraining #TravelRecovery #MindsetShift ExecutiveFitness CorporatePerformance AthleticConditioning NoGovernor PhysicalResilience PeakPerformance Foilboarding by @eganinoue

Why would a 61-year-old willingly push his heart rate past 180 BPM?Because for decades, I’ve used that exact threshold as my ultimate competitive weapon. In my 20s playing racquetball, I ran a relentless “run-and-gun” pace. If my opponent couldn’t slow me down, they hit the wall and broke. In BJJ and MMA, it was the exact same philosophy—keep the pace brutal, and the second they pause to rest, you’re a move ahead. You might think, “I’m not an athlete, why do I care?”Because the workplace is also a competition. This high-threshold training isn’t just physical. It takes the governor off your brain. When you’re at your desk and feel like you can’t read another page or work another minute, your brain tells you you’re empty. But when you train with me, you shatter that governor. You instantly realize that when you feel completely spent, you still have 60% left in your gas tank.I am currently booking private, high-threshold training programs for Athletic Teams and Executive Corporate Boards to blast your leaders past their current plateaus and build ultimate mental toughness.Stop training to survive. Train to expand your capacity.👉 DM me or comment the word “TEAM” right now to book your private program.#MentalToughness #CorporateTraining #ExecutiveCoaching #CardioConditioning #LongevityLab ThresholdTraining MindsetMatters AthleticPerformance NoLimits NavySealMindset BJJ MMA FitnessMotivation by @eganinoue

When you think you are completely empty, you actually have 60% left in the tank. 🧠⚡️In our facility, we put athletes through our signature Threshold Series to forge true mental toughness. And it’s not just for kids. I teach this exact framework to top corporate executives and business owners to help their teams break through mental walls and unlock elite performance. 💼🚀⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: This program is not open to the general public. It is run strictly by special request as private group bookings for sports teams and corporate staffs.Science proves your brain acts like a governor, signaling exhaustion when you’ve only used 40% of your actual capacity. Most people are held back simply by their own mind.I am the living proof of this system. This exact mental framework is what allowed me to push past my limits and reach the absolute top as a 3-sport world champion. I know it works because it worked for me, and I’ve seen it transform hundreds of athletes and executives. 🏆Whether it’s a high school team, college athletes, or a boardroom staff, Threshold training teaches teams how to override the mental brake and unlock that hidden 60% reserve. We aren’t just training bodies. We are training the mindset of a champion.Private calendar dates for our team sessions are filling up fast.⚡️ Forge the Mind. This is how you build a fast, explosive athlete. No heavy weights required. ⚡️👟Following up on yesterday’s post about the high school weight room trap—this is exactly what the “whip” looks like in action inside our youth program.Instead of loading up a barbell and training the nervous system to move slowly, we focus entirely on Rate of Force Development (RFD) and reactive coordination. What you’re seeing in this video:1️⃣ Rapid Medicine Ball Passes: Building explosive, upper-body power and core integration.2️⃣ Hurdle Bounds: Teaching the feet and tendons to react to the ground and snap instantly.3️⃣ Chest-to-Floor Pop-Up to Box Jump: The ultimate test of total-body power and coordination. If your kid is struggling with quickness on the field, heavy squats aren’t the answer. They need to learn how to turn their muscles on and off in 0.1 seconds. Once they master this explosive foundation, adding heavy weights later when they’re older is easy.Stop training them to be rigid. Train them to be dynamic.⚡️ Spaces are limited in our Youth Athletic Development Programs.📲 DM me to get your athlete locked in today!#YouthSports #SpeedTraining #YouthAthletes #AthleticDevelopment #SpeedAndAgility ExplosivePower YouthFitness CoachingPhilosophy Plyometrics MedsBallTraining BoxJumps SportsParents by @eganinoue

To every parent who wants their kid to be faster and quicker on the field: Stop rushing them into the weight room. ❌🏃‍♂️I talk to parents every week who think the “secret trick” to fixing a slow, uncoordinated kid is heavy lifting or packing on bulk. Here is why that backfires completely:As a 30-year pro athlete who trained at the Olympic Training Center, won WORLD CHAMPION titles in three different sports, and still trains current world champions today—I’m telling you that heavy lifting too early is a trap.If an athlete can’t move their own body weight fluidly, throwing heavy barbells at them trains their nervous system to move even slower. You are pouring “neurological concrete.” They might look bigger in uniform, but they will be a turtle on game day. 🐢How We Actually Build Elite Speed:You have to build the whip first. During adolescence, a kid’s brain is a sponge for coordination and fast-twitch muscle recruitment. Our youth programs focus on bodyweight mastery, plyometrics, and explosive kinetic coordination. We teach their body how to snap, react, and fire instantly.Once we build a lightning-fast engine, adding heavy strength later is easy. But trying to inject speed into a kid who is already stiff and bulky? It’s an uphill battle against their own biology.Don’t mistake weight-room bulk for athletic power.Over the next two posts, I’m going to show you the exact reactive double-movements we use to build elite power—both for our youth athletes and for myself at 61 years old.⚡️ Train Movement, Not Just Muscles. ⚡️📲 DM me SPEED or click the link in my bio to get your athlete started the right way!#SportsParents #YouthSports #SpeedTraining #YouthAthletes #AthleticDevelopment SpeedAndAgility ExplosivePower YouthFitness CoachingPhilosophy WeightRoomTrap ParentingTips HighSchoolAthletes WorldChampionMindset TrainToWin BuildTheWhip by @eganinoue

If you look at the actual physics of athleticism, the equation for power is simple: Power = Force × Velocity.Standard heavy weightlifting builds Force. But if you don’t train the Velocity component, you’re only building half the machine. Here is what happens when you focus purely on heavy, slow lifting for young athletes:1. Slow Motor Unit Recruitment: Moving heavy weights slowly trains the nervous system to fire slowly.2. The “Molasses” Effect: On the field, the court, or the mat, the window to explode is usually less than 0.2 seconds. A massive bench press doesn’t mean a thing if the body takes 0.5 seconds just to rev up.The Giant-Killer Fact:When I fought in the Absolute Division and in PRIDE Japan, my opponents had the advantage in raw force (mass and basic strength). I couldn’t beat them at their own game. But because I trained for maximum velocity, my rate of force development was drastically higher. I could apply my force in a fraction of the time it took them to apply theirs. That’s how a smaller athlete shuts down a giant.Strength is your foundation, but explosive power is the weapon. Stop training your kids to be slow.👇 Drop a comment below if you want to see the specific velocity and coordination drills we use to bridge the gap between gym strength and real-world sports power! by @eganinoue

Studies show that when patients enter the ICU or trauma unit after a major accident or surgery, the number one predictor of who survives and thrives versus who deteriorates is how much muscle mass they had going into it. It’s not the injury or the illness itself that often takes us out as we age; it’s frailty.Build your reservoir now. Every rep counts toward your future resilience. 🏋️‍♂️✨#FitnessMotivation #HealthyAging #MuscleMass #TraumaRecovery #Resilience FitOver40 GymLife by @eganinoue

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. The Lord tells us to find a brother, and their real strength is forged side-by-side with men who challenge you, check your blind spots, and won’t let you stay soft. Weak company dulls the blade, but true brothers will grind you into a weapon. So surround yourself with the ones who make you sharper, and be the one who sharpens back. And that’s how warriors are built.#IronSharpensIron #Proverbs2717 #Brotherhood #WarriorMindset #EganFitness SurroundYourselfWithTheBest Accountability Waterman Community StaySharp GrowthMindset by @eganinoue

Why Hot Tubs FAIL for Jet Lag (Do This Instead) ✈️🛀If your go-to move after a long flight is climbing straight into a hotel hot tub to loosen up your stiff muscles... you might actually be doing more harm than good.Standard hot tubs are great for a regular muscle flush. But when you just step off a plane, your body is trapped in a severely dehydrated, restricted state. Sitting in plain, chlorinated hot tub water actually forces your body to sweat more fluid out just to regulate your temperature. The result? You end up even more depleted than when you first climbed in.That is why you need a heavy Epsom salt bath.Epsom salt isn’t regular salt—it’s magnesium sulfate. When you drop a heavy dose into a hot bath, a process called osmotic pressure takes over. Because your tight fascia lines and muscle tissues are starving for minerals after a flight, your skin acts like a direct pathway. Your body absorbs that magnesium right through the skin barrier, bypassing your gut entirely. The magnesium then acts like a molecular sponge, instantly pulling hydration deep into your cell walls to unlock those tight muscles. The Travel Protocol:Don’t just sprinkle it in. You need a heavy dose—at least 2 to 3 cups of high-quality Epsom salt in a hot bath. Soak for 20 minutes right after you complete Phase 1 (electrolyte hydration). But soaking is only half the battle. Once your tissues are warm, hydrated, and fully unlocked, you have a golden 15-minute window to fix your alignment before those muscles cool back down.In the next video, I’m dropping the exact post-bath mobility sequence you need to lock in your posture and get moving explosively again.👇 But first, let me know in the comments: do your hips or your lower back get tighter after a long flight? Drop it below so I can tailor the next video specifically for you! 🤙#JetLag #TravelRecovery #EpsomSalt #FasciaRelease MuscleHydration MobilityTraining Biohacking Longevity PostFlight FlightRecovery by @eganinoue
