Happy World Dance Day 🌍🕺🏾

May we continue to grow in our craft and be agents of positive change in our society.

@whatisdance_art What Is Dance Street Outreach under @ehmikhidartfoundation is about giving back, raising awareness on the value of dance and dancers, and helping society embrace dance as a profession worthy of their children, siblings, and friends. We also champion education, reminding young dancers that their dreams and their studies can thrive side by side.

Through this journey, we’ve supported and sponsored children in school, meeting both their educational and basic needs.

In 2023, our @dance4impactng Dance4Impact edition, funded by the US Mission in Nigeria, at Katampe1 Mpape Community, brought powerful collaborations @capitaldancers @krump_studios @batterydance that strengthened this vision.

Dance is more than movement, it’s impact, it’s purpose, it’s change.

May we continue to be PRESENT and be in our TRUTH.

Keep winning my brothers and sisters 💯 🖤

I love You, Lord ✝️ 🙏
For Your mercy never fails me
All my days, I've been held in Your hands

From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

'Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

I was really blessed by this Krump Fellowship organised by @immaculeeconcept 🙏 merci beaucoup... and thank you to my amazing brothers and sisters here who shared in this space and also held space for me when I shared🙏✨️

Maybe life was never meant to be easy.
It bends us through sorrow,
breaks us through loss,
then teaches us to bloom again.

Some days carry dreams, others carry wounds.
But even in the darkest night,
something within us remains.

Every scar remembers,
every ending leaves something behind.

So keep walking.

Life is not only about surviving,
it is about feeling, loving and finding your way back to yourself.

--- Don't miss out!!! SAVE THE DATES 📅

🔻Get to know Ehmi Khid🔻

Ehmi Khid is a multi-disciplinary Movement and Performing Artist whose work bridges dance, storytelling, and community-centered research.

Rooted in African lived realities, his practice explores themes of healing, identity, resilience, survival, and collective memory, using movement as both an artistic language and a tool for social transformation.

Driven by a deep commitment to people and place, Ehmi Khid’s process is grounded in long-term engagement with communities; listening, observing, and co-creating especially with children, and marginalized voices. His projects often unfold through workshops, movement laboratories, and participatory performances that transform personal and communal experiences into powerful embodied narratives.

He positions dance as a space for care, reflection, and empowerment, challenging conventional boundaries between art, therapy, and social practice.

His work seeks not only to perform stories but to open supported spaces where communities can see themselves, express their truths, and imagine new possibilities for humanity and belonging.

Here is my honest pain about Lindsay Clancy's case and I just want to share.🙏🏿

We can acknowledge that there may be unanswered questions, mental health concerns, relationship dynamics, abuse, or other circumstances without turning those things into excuses before the facts are established.
Three children died. That should be where our humanity begins.
.
.
HUMANITY comes first.
Every CHILD lives matters.
Postpartum psychosis is real, so pls let's care for each other.

Keep going,
The storms will come
Allow yourself to go through it
Breathe, find your rhythm
And go again.
