Keep going,
The storms will come
Allow yourself to go through it
Breathe, find your rhythm
And go again.

Here is to invoking the force that is Africa: The mother of civilizations, mother of medicine, mother of philosophy, Power To Our Land !!

Here is to recalling who we are as Africans: The sophistication of our ancestors, the innovation of our people, the inheritance of our descendants, Power To Our People !!

Here is to us reclaiming our rightful place as scholars and scientists, scholars and artists, scholars and farmers, scholars and healers, scholars and mothers, scholars and activists, scholars and and and …

Asante sana @codesria for the wake up call, for this AFRIAK platform to both theorise and actualise an existence rooted in our realities.

Africa will stand on her own two feet, deep belly breathing, in our lifetime ❤️‍🔥

During ÌMÍ 2026, Ester Lozano invited us to slow down and listen to the body.

Through movement, participants investigated the quality of gesture, the textures of movement, and the relationship between presence and listening.

Rather than asking the body to perform, the session asked us to notice.
How does a gesture begin?
What changes when we stay with it?
What can the body hear before the mind gives it a name?

We explored movement as something felt, sensed, and continually re-signified through our encounters with ourselves and others.

A practice of attention.
A practice of presence.
A reminder that sometimes, movement does not need to become more.
It simply needs to be listened to more deeply.
