Tammy and I were delighted to welcome our dear friends Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman, who have faithfully led the ministry of Show Hope for 26 years for a CCU fundraising event in the Rockies. A portion of the support will establish adoption benefits for employees of CCU and Valor who are considering adoption, so together we can help answer the prayers of children waiting for a family that lives in the love, truth and grace of Jesus Christ.

Our deep thanks to Fred and Lorie Lautenbach, CCU alumni and Fred a member of our Board of Trustees, for opening their beautifully renovated barn to host us. And to everyone who attended and gave: thank you.

What a great evening for the Kingdom of God! 🙏

A full hour of worship in chapel with nearly 1,400 students and employees. A presidential lunch with Brenton and the band. A masterclass in the Armstrong Center and Considine Chapel, where each band member worked with our School of Music (Performing Arts) students on songwriting, worship leading, guitar, keys, drums, and bass, preparing them to serve CCU’s worship teams and their home churches. An acoustic worship night for the entire campus to close the day

Brenton has blessed our President’s Weekends for the past six years and now returns annually to serve our School of Music (Performing Arts) and campus ministries. His investment is shaping both the hearts and the performing arts of our students.

Brenton (and band), thank you for pouring into the next generation of worship leaders. We are thankful for you and God’s hand on your life. @myccu @ccu_online @ccuschoolofmusic taken in Colorado Christian University - Online by @ehogue

What a start to the week at Colorado Christian University! It was my great privilege to welcome the 48th Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, to campus for his first “Visiting Faculty Week.” Vice President Pence met with our residential Student Development leaders, taught our Public Policy students on the heritage of America’s founding, and engaged our elected Student Senate leaders on what it means to lead with conviction. This is only the first of six “visiting faculty” sessions he will lead at CCU this year, and we look forward to welcoming him as our Commencement speaker for both ceremonies this spring, joined by his wife, Karen Pence. Moments like these are exactly why CCU exists—Unapologetically Christian, Academically Excellent, Intentionally Affordable, and Exceptionally Employable, a Christian conservative university forming the next generation of graduates to lead this culture, and refuse to be led by it. @ccu_online @myccu @centennialinstitute @mikepence taken in Colorado Christian University by @ehogue

A great reminder of the impact of CCU Nursing Program. After a morning constituency meeting in Castle Rock, I decided the grab a salad at Manna Restaurant in Adventist Hospital. Flash mob of CCU nursing students attending to their clinical duties. Snapped a quick photo, cheered them on, and was told by an attending physician “CCU nursing students are the best!” @myccu @ccu_online @centennialinstitute @adventisthealth by @ehogue

Tammy and I are heartbroken for the entire Milligan University community following today’s tragic cycling accident.

We grieve with you over the loss of Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers, and we are praying earnestly for the other members of the cycling team who were seriously injured. We also lift up their families, teammates, coaches, classmates, faculty, and all who are walking through the shock and sorrow of this heartbreaking day.

As brothers and sisters in Christ, the Colorado Christian University community stands with Milligan University in prayer. In moments when words fall short, we hold fast to the promise that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

May the Lord draw especially near to the brokenhearted, bring healing to those who are injured, and surround the entire Milligan family with His comfort, strength, and peace in the difficult days ahead.

God bless you, Milligan. We are praying for you. @cccu @milliganuniversity @myccu by @ehogue
