On Monday night, @dstier and I sat in the audience @myccu and listened to our daughter, Kailey, perform a song she wrote about the tragedy of abortion. I’ll be honest. It hit me hard. Not just because she’s my daughter. Not just because she’s an incredibly gifted songwriter. But because her song tells a story that is deeply personal to me. I was almost aborted. 61 years ago, my mom had decided to end her pregnancy. But at the very last moment, she changed her mind through the loving intervention of my Uncle Tommy and Aunt Carol. Because they stepped in, I’m here today. So as I listened to Kailey sing, I couldn’t help but think about what might have been. No family. No ministry. No opportunities to preach the gospel. No wife, no Kailey singing about life. No son or daughter or grandkids. A life that almost never happened. What I love most about Kailey’s song is that it doesn’t focus on a political issue. It invites us to consider the heart of God. How does He feel when a child He created in His image never gets the chance to live out the story He lovingly planned? As a dad, I was overflowing with pride. As someone whose life was almost cut short before it began, I was overflowing with gratitude. Thank you, @kailey_stier , for using your gifts to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves and for reminding us that every life matters to the God who creates, loves, and knows each one by name. ❤️ Thank you for preaching the gospel through your lyrics so that mom’s who hear this song who have committed an abortion know that there’s forgiveness through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. #ChooseLife #ProLife #ColoradoChristianUniversity #SanctityOfLife #EveryLifeMatters

Not every college with “Christian” in the name is equally Christian in practice. So where should families look? 👀 Here are 11 Christian colleges worth considering in 2026. No Christian college is perfect, and inclusion here is not an endorsement of every professor, policy, program, or university decision. Every Christian college will face professors or staff who push beyond its stated convictions. The real test is what happens next: Does leadership correct the drift, or allow it to become the culture? You may have attended one of these schools and had a bad experience. Missional drift can happen anywhere, which is why parents and students should always remain discerning, even at institutions with strong Christian reputations. Did you attend one of these schools? What was your experience? What school should be on the list? 👇🏼

Twenty-five years later, we remember. On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a tragedy that forever changed countless lives. For those who lived through that day, the memories remain deeply personal: where they were, who they were with, what they witnessed, and the moments that have stayed with them ever since. On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, CCU faculty and staff share their memories and reflections from that day, including stories of fear and loss, courage and sacrifice, unity and patriotism, and faith in the midst of uncertainty. Today, we remember the lives lost, honor the first responders, service members, families, and everyday Americans whose courage defined the days that followed, and give thanks for the faith and hope that carried so many through unimaginable circumstances. May we continue to remember, to honor, and to pray for our nation and one another. We will never forget. Where were you during 9/11? “Twenty-five years ago, I sat down for what was supposed to be a 4-hour radio show in Sacramento. As the events of September 11 unfolded, that show became 14 hours of trying to make sense of something what we were seeing. What I remember most is trying to respond to something that, in the moment, seemed almost impossible to comprehend.” -Eric Hogue, President of Colorado Christian University Where were you during 9/11? “I was serving in the Air Force as an F-16 fighter pilot and flight lead. I was in Alaska, stationed at Eielson Air Force Base, during the terrorist attack. When the South Tower was hit at 5:03 a.m. Alaska time, I immediately put on my flight suit and sped to work. The base closed the gate right after I made it in. I was one of the first flight leads to arrive at work, so I was assigned to be a flight lead for a four-ship air defense alert mission should there be additional threats to Alaskan airspace from hijacked airliners. Although we never had to launch a mission that day, our sister base in Anchorage, Alaska, Elmendorf Air Force Base, had to launch two F-15s to intercept Korean Air flight 85 and force it to divert to Whitehorse, Canada.” -David Murphy, Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences Where were you during 9

"This is how public handwashing should work. 🎓🧼 Touch-free soap ✔️ Touch-free faucet ✔️ Warm water ✔️ Hygienic drying ✔️ Hands-Free Exit ✔️ A genuine 5 out of 5 at Colorado Christian University's Anschutz Student Center. No workarounds. No touching shared fixtures. No carrying a towel to the door. Wash. Dry. Throw the towel away. Leave hands-free. That's it. If CCU can make healthy handwashing this simple, why is it still so complicated in so many public facilities? Clean Hands Fans, when you find places getting all five criteria right, recognize them through the Clean Hands Certified app. #CleanHandsCertified #washyourhands #PublicHealth #handhygiene #colorado

25 Weeks to 250 – Week 25! As we count down the days to our country's 250th anniversary, several of our student interns have been preparing a video project to commemorate this special year. They have been on a mission to ask members of the Colorado Christian University community why they love America. Everyone loves the United States for their own reason, but one thing remains the same: we are all proud to call this country home. #America250 #WhyILoveAmerica #Countdownto250 #DeclarationofIndependence This week, we hear from Colorado Christian University President Eric Hogue!
