Guts

More single art for songs that won't be singles.

There are many facets to Guts as a piece of music, this art doesn't attempt to encompass it, it's just an image that stuck with me while writing. Very much Uzumaki inspired.

Dog

The title track of my upcoming EP is called Dog. Probably the bitterest fruit of the bunch. While working through the music and lyrics, I still had this visual I needed to express, so this is it.

Here's a little snippet of the lyrics:

While recording my final vocal line for Sower, I reached down to hit record for another take and knocked a glass of water onto my laptop. Even if nothing's messed up with the computer, I still have to wait two days to let it dry out.

It's absolutely devasting to be this close and hit this roadblock. I've been itching for so long to finish this song so I can share it. So fuck it, here's Sower live on electric through the @emilyharpist Parting, rough around the edges and everything. by @eiffeltravis

Sower - Single and Music video coming soon

I wish I had a release date figured out, but I'm too excited to hold off on revealing the single art for Sower.

I got possessed to make this over a couple of days last week. The idea came to me without much conscious thought, and I think that's resulted in an honest piece that feels cathartic to have out of my head.

When the distant church bell hits right on the transition.

Test filming for "Sower", the opening track and single from my upcoming EP "Dog". The vertical crop really cuts off most of the lush background, but you'll just have to wait and see what you're missing.

This is the sweetest song on the EP. The rest are increasingly bitter. Except the ending. I don't want a bleak ending. We all deserve peace. by @eiffeltravis

Writing for my solo EP. I'm breathing life back into quite a few older ideas, and this is the oldest. I started this one in 2017, on returning to Boston. I had it fully recorded except for vocals, where I hit a roadblock, and it's sat like that for years.

I really love this theme, and now it's found new relevance to me. It fits right in the bleak dark center of my EP, and is perfectly alligned with what I need to express.

I'm rewriting most of the lyrics and changing the arrangement to match the dynamics of the other songs. Piano is hard, but it's getting easier, and I'm enjoying the freedom of its range.

I've been working on a 5 track solo EP over the past couple of months. It's a very intimate and vulnerable project, an expression that needed to happen for my own emotional processing.

Not a lot I can share right now, but it will come out this year, I'll try for sooner rather than later. by @eiffeltravis
