Why a German Design Award? Because we didn’t build this brand FOR Katholino. We built it WITH them. 💜 Katholino is the new childcare provider of the Archdiocese of Cologne. A brand built on one conviction: that identity grows stronger when everyone helps shape it. Each kindergarten chooses its own version of the logo – individually crafted within a flexible system that balances unity and diversity. Guided by faith, charity and community. Rooted in a clear promise: Shaping childhood together. The German Design Award 2027 in the category Excellent Communications Design – Corporate Identity confirms what we experienced throughout the process: co-creation is not a method. It’s a mindset. Thank you to the entire Katholino team – and to everyone who helped build this brand from the ground up. @germandesigncouncil @katholino_kitas by @eiga_design
@eiga_design created a new Brand Identity for a law firm. Legal crises are overwhelming - everything feels urgent, unclear, and high-stakes. Rawen Legal was built to restore orientation: clear overview, calm guidance, and empathetic companionship. EIGA developed the name Rawen (pron. raa-vuhn) together with a memorable brand narrative: The raven rises above, spots every detail early, thinks ahead, and protects its community. That’s the mindset Rawen Legal brings to every case. A brand story that mirrors the reality of a very specific target group - and turns pressure into perspective. by @eiga_design
Created to challenge convention @hs_bremerhaven For the “University by the Sea”, we developed a brand strategy and identity built around one idea: expanding your horizons. University identities often draw on familiar visual cues: a coat of arms, initials, or a reference to campus architecture. For Hochschule Bremerhaven, we created a different visual language, centred on the horizon—a symbol that connects the university’s maritime setting with its ambition to open up new perspectives. A rising sun features in the wordmark and also serves as a confident standalone symbol. Created to challenge convention — and, to us, still looking ahead. What do you think? by @eiga_design
What makes work good? For us, it’s about more than getting things done. It’s about collaboration, equal opportunities, room for ideas – and creating an environment where people can grow. But decent work is far from a given. Goal 08 looks at the bigger picture: working conditions, opportunities and the realities of work around the world. Get Good Done is our visual take on the 17 global challenges – translating complexity into bold, accessible stories through design. Because good work should work for everyone. by @eiga_design
Design is the means. Communication is the purpose. This is the central idea behind the ADC’s white paper, written by Prof. Richard Jung. We developed the editorial design for the publication, bringing structure and clarity to a complex debate about the future of communication design education. At the ADC Design Conference today, our CCO Elly Plass joins the Business Stage panel “Ausbildung im KI-Zeitalter” to discuss how design education can prepare the next generation of designers for a changing industry. A thought at the heart of Elly’s perspective: “AI makes production easier. It makes the question of why more urgent.” Designers’ value lies not in competing with AI on output, but in identifying the right communication challenge, creating meaning and taking responsibility for their decisions. by @eiga_design
When the founder is the brand. Our design proposal for Wurzelwerk started with a question: How do you build an identity when the company and its founder are deeply connected? Marie Diederich’s knowledge, personality and perspective have shaped Wurzelwerk from the beginning. Our idea was to turn that personal world into a brand system — distinctive enough to feel like Marie, and strong enough to grow beyond her. 🌱 @marievonwurzelwerk Typeface: YTF Giong by @yellow.type by @eiga_design
You can’t build a personal brand without the person. Marie Diederich has built Wurzelwerk through knowledge, curiosity and a deeply personal connection to what she does. Her expertise, voice and community aren’t just part of the brand story. They are where much of its equity already lives. Our design proposal brought both worlds together — Wurzelwerk as a business and Marie as its most distinctive voice. Not two brands. One ecosystem. Our design system for @katholino_kitas keeps growing. Today, 285 daycares are on board — supported by a visual language that evolves with them. We have now designed 182 icons to celebrate the individuality of each daycare, reflect everyday life within the community, and mark the festivals of the church year. Because a design system is never really finished. It has to evolve with the organization behind it — accommodating new needs without losing its identity. That is where the strength of a system becomes visible: not at launch, but over time. 285 daycares. 182 icons. One evolving system. And still growing. 💜 by @eiga_design
Welcome to EIGA, Niels! 👋 He’ll be joining us on our projects and getting a closer look at how brands take shape. Studying in Bielefeld, curious by nature and and bringing a versatile creative skill set – a pretty good fit for the team ✨ by @eiga_design
Nature doesn’t have just one colour. Neither should its identity. For our Wurzelwerk design proposal, we wanted to move beyond the familiar visual codes of sustainability. No generic greens, no static layouts. Instead, we developed a fluid design system inspired by nature’s diversity — without simply imitating it. ✦ A rich, unexpected colour palette rooted in organic textures. ✦ Expressive typography that grows and flows. ✦ Flexible framing systems that adapt to the content. A brand vision designed to feel as alive as the soil it stems from. Client: @marievonwurzelwerk Typeface: YTF Giong by @yellow.type #brandidentity #visualidentity by @eiga_design
