I finally did it!!! Yesterday, I completed my first half marathon 🙌🏼💖🎉

This journey began with my first 8K race in January and signing up for the @dublincityhalfmarathon to raise money for @breastcancer_research. After raising over €1,500 and training through winter and spring, an injury forced me to withdraw just weeks before race day.

I knew I still had to run a HM this year, so I set a new goal: the @ratoath_ac_half_marathon_ . Yesterday, I finally crossed that finish line! After another injury during my recent training block, even making it to race day felt like an achievement.

This run was for the NBCRI, a cause very close to my heart. My mom is a two-time breast cancer survivor, and we’ve known many incredible women affected by this disease.

This one was for my mom, her friends, and everyone whose lives have been touched by breast cancer 💗

A huge thank you to my coach @_karlfleming_ , physio @balrotheryphysio, running club @swordsrunningclub, friends and family for helping me along the way 🥰 taken in Fairyhouse Racecourse by @eimhoward

OLD SOULS — ISSUE 002: HOLLY 🤍

Holly turns 14 this month.

And if ever there was a dog who has been completely, unapologetically adored every step of the way, it’s Holly.

She is the kind of dog who doesn’t just have toys ...
She has many toys, knows most of them by name, and even has seasonal favourites on rotation. If you go away for even one night, she’ll head straight for your bag to check what present you brought back for her… because obviously you wouldn’t come home empty-handed.

Her birthday is a full event in itself: a trip to her favourite dog park, a drive-thru McDonald’s to share some chicken nuggets (one of her very favourite words) and then a stop at the pet shop so she can choose a toy of her own. Not that she has to wait until then, of course… she’ll already have opened her presents that morning.

(Present also being one of her favourite words.)

Christmas morning? That belongs to Holly too.
The excitement of watching her open her gifts and dive straight into her new toys is all part of the tradition.

She loves playing football as well — although by all accounts, she absolutely cheats.

And honestly, that tells you everything you need to know.

Holly is spoiled rotten. Deeply loved. Thoroughly fussed over. Treasured in all the little ways that become the big things over a lifetime.

And after 14 years of love, routines, excitement, funny quirks and family traditions built around her, I think it’s safe to say she’s earned every second of it.

AKA: she’s spoilt… and they wouldn’t have it any other way.

That’s what Old Souls is about.

Not just the grey around the face, or the years gone by, but the life behind them. The stories. The rituals. The personality. The love.
