Half-Court Design Proposal for the @bbbfoundation #InYourCourt Art Contest ⚡️💥🔥

This design of this 50’ x 28’ half-court mimics a literal passing of the torch between Dwyane Wade (⚡️) and Bam Adebayo (💥) with a flame in the middle (🔥), representing the Miami Heat franchise that drafted both of these players. The angled projection of the road towards the bottom of the court, using both the Miami Vice and Heat colorway, symbolizes Bam’s projected path towards the legendary status that D-Wade has achieved for this city.

SkyRise Recreation Center - Master Thesis Project (2024) 🏟️🌇🛣️

This is a proposed multi-purpose sports, entertainment and recreational center that celebrates the history of Miami sports while bringing the community together through recreational and event uses.

The center features a condominium, ground-level retail and commercial space, a mini-skatepark, four floors of parking, a Fanatics public sports museum, and an elevated four-story gym with a sports lounge, and rooftop pool. The center’s most prominent feature is an outdoor park/event space six stories above ground with twisted canopy roofs that features four basketball courts and stadium-like bleacher seating of over 1,000 people.

Cuban Latin DNA Gateway 🧬🇨🇺 (2023)

This gateway entryway features a vibrant rhythmic flow of thin shell structures which creates a seemingly weightless enclosure. This rhythmic flow, which is articulated through the distortion of four thin shells, creates a sculptural and ornamental landmark for Calle Ocho.

The gateway features a plaza by the existing Social 27 Supper Club where a spiral staircase that leads up to a mini observation deck. The arches anchor a series of benches that people can lounge, including bus stop.

A gateway of this magnitude stems to become the DNA of Latin Culture, bringing in an even enormous number of individuals to their annual festival in order to host dancing, food, drinks and 30 stages of live entertainment.

Living Seawall Artificial Reef Structures 🪸(2023) in collab with @dillonblanc

Integrating tubular polyps into voronoi shells, we designed a coastal living sea wall barrier for Maurice A. Ferre Park that serves as protection for native species as well as an interactive exhibit for the adjacent Perez Art Museum and Frost Science Museum.

The outdoor space will serve to show the public how artificial coral reefs can be used as both an informative and art exhibition, highlighting the integration between art and science.

Lemon City Natatorium Proposal, Comprehensive Design Studio 🏊🏾‍♂️📐 (2022)

Forming an aquatic lightwell with fluidity in motion by use of framing and diagonal configuration, I proposed a regional competition venue in the Little River section of Little Haiti that has an equal amount of comfortable space for both swimmers and spectators. This building is held up by a cantilevered space framing roof with translucency in the middle to create that lightwell effect.
