When a girl thrives, communities transform.
Girls’ leadership & confidence programmes. Education support.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
A girl in our documentary said something that touched our hearts and continues to linger!

She said: “I know getting an education will change my life”

We filmed her story and the stories of girls like her, because the world needs to see what’s at stake when we don’t invest in girls’ education.

The documentary is coming. In the meantime, the work continues every day.

If you want to fund the next scholarship, the next workshop, the next girl who needs to hear that her dreams are allowed — the link is in our bio. Every amount makes a difference.

Nearly 2 in 3 girls in Nigeria will never complete secondary school.

Swipe to see what’s really behind that number and what we’re doing about it. →

The problem is never the girl. It is always the systems, the expectations, and the silences around her.

The solution that actually works is an adult who shows up consistently and refuses to stop believing in her future.

That’s what we’ve been doing since 2016.

Follow us for more. And if you want to support a girl’s education directly, the link is in our bio. 💜

People ask us what The Ejaosan Network does.

Here’s a glimpse into it: We fund school fees for girls who would otherwise drop out.

We advocate — in Nigeria and now in the UK — for the girls that systems overlook.

And in the UK, we’re building something more: leadership programmes for Black and minority girls who are told, in a hundred quiet ways, that rooms like this weren’t made for them.

Ten years ago, we started in Nigeria with an urgent belief: that a girl’s environment or her parents’ income should never be the thing that ends her education or opportunities. It still shouldn’t.

The Ejaosan Network has spent a decade advocating for girls’ education, walking alongside families, and refusing to look away when the system fails girls who deserve better.

This is year ten. We’re just getting started.

For a while now, we’ve been working on something we believe will change the conversation around girls’ education in Nigeria.

We made a documentary.

We went into classrooms, communities and homes. We listened to girls, parents, teachers and community leaders.

If you want to be among the first to see it, follow us and turn on notifications. This story needs to be heard.

Behind the programmes, the workshops and the impact reports, there’s a team that genuinely believes this work matters.

We started Ejaosan because we know what it's like to be girls who need more. More confidence. More mentors. More people who said: your voice belongs in the room.

This is personal.

This week we had a planning meeting. The goal is we to reach even more girls that need support to break from limitations.

This is Khadijat

When her father passed away, she gave up hope of ever returning to school. She told us she didn’t think the four walls of a classroom were for her anymore.

With support, she walked back through those school doors.

Stories like Khadijat’s are why we exist. They’re also why we made a documentary. (More on that soon.)

If you want to be part of the next Khadijat’s story, the link to support is in our bio.

In 2016, we supported one girl who was about to drop out of school in Nigeria.

That one girl became our why.

Today, The Ejaosan Network has reached 3,200+ girls through scholarships, outreaches, mentorship, and leadership workshops that change what girls believe is possible for them.

We’re at a new chapter. UK programmes launched. And a growing community of people who believe the same thing we do:

When a girl thrives, a community transforms.

We’re glad you’re here. Drop a comment if you believe in girls who lead.

Struggling with confidence takes various forms, and they aren’t always obvious.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we were delighted to partner with the female officers of the Federal Fire Service @fedfire_ng to support the women of Garki Market in Abuja.

Our Programme Lead @ayooluwa_adeniyi delivered a thoughtful health talk, creating space for meaningful conversations around women’s wellbeing and everyday safety. Free blood sugar and blood pressure checks were also provided, encouraging awareness and preventative care.

It was a reminder of what is possible when women come together to share knowledge, support one another, and build healthier communities. Here’s to continuing this work beyond the month.
