Last week, was BirthdayPalooza, the celebration of the 3 great Cancers in my life @jazadelphia Eve & Juniper. Easily up there high on the best vacay list. A time was had.

But more importantly it was also Jasmine’s 40th birthday. It’s one she comes to with wisdom, grace, leadership, empathy, and… very obviously… immense beauty.

I feel so lucky to get to observe and tag along on this journey of life with you. Let’s run the number up, seems like things are just getting good. by @ejeddings

So excited to say that the first 2 episodes of my new show “ReLiving Single” are now out on YouTube and all podcast platforms. This is a project that has taken years to get made, but it feels so worth it. To get even a tiny opportunity to contribute to the rich legacy of “Living Single” and help @erikaalexanderthegreat & @kimcoles tell their amazing stories is a literal dream.
A dream that started in 2019 when I pitched The Nod a story about the ‘90s Black TV boom/bust told through the experience of one of the actresses who signified that success...and backlash, Erika. Erika was especially generous with her time and her story, and the success of that episode made it clear that the love I had for the show was shared by so many others.
Once I got to Hartbeat, I knew it was the perfect project for our team. We have so much in store for you this season. I have to give a few shout-outs to the folks who’ve made it all possible: @fortheelle @digihanzo , @ambermilan , @astoldbydez , @kennyoliver32 , @_cedricwilson , and @shannonjoyrodgers . I’ve been nursing my social anxiety with a healthy dose of distance from social media. But life goes on! Here’s a quick catch up on 2023 ( a whole dumpster fire with a couple of bright spots) The cliff notes:
- took a gig running podcasts for @kevinhart4real @therealhartbeat
- yes Eve broke her arm, she’s all good now and mad they didn’t let her keep her cast
- Junie is big now, loves food, trucks, the beach and elemental
- Jasmine is hopeful that the Eagles could get things done this year

It’s been months of new beginnings and changes. I said goodbye to Brooklyn after 13+ years to start a new life in LA. We moved quick but I hope to be back soon for proper goodbyes! Speaking of new life, @jazadelphia and I are so excited to say that soon we’ll be welcoming a baby girl to the family. Eve is sprouting in new directions and obsessed with life as a big sis. I don’t know what is next but I’m so thankful for love, family, and community. Life feels full and I wouldn’t have it any other way. by @ejeddings
