For over twelve years, I’ve been writing the things I didn’t know how to say out loud. Today, those words are in a book. Everything I Never Said Out Loud (EINSOL) is officially out!!! 💃🏾 This book is a collection of poems and reflections. It is honest and deeply personal. It’s a love letter from me to ME, and then to you 💕 EINSOL is available now on Amazon (kindle and hardcover). Link in bio. Massive shoutout to the dream team: Cover art & illustrations: @artby.dara Editor: @joyehonwa Typesetting & formatting: @kiishiabudu Yoruba language consultant: @oloritana THANK YOU 💕 #EINSOL #PoetryCommunity #Memoir #WritersOfInstagram by @ejurasalihu

Last week, I finally made it to the iconic RED DOT! 🔴🥳🥳🥳 I’ve been a TEDx fan for as long as I can remember, so getting to stand on that stage myself was a huge, HUGE deal. What the pictures don’t show is the massive Behind-the-Scene anxiety. At one point, I honestly thought I might be having a panic attack. It was INTENSE! I could feel my throat closing up. I tried everything to calm myself down, but when I realised just how overwhelming it had become, I locked myself in the toilet and gently talked myself through it, reminding myself to breathe. As a fellow speaker wisely noted, the TEDx brand pressure is REAL! 😩 But some of that anxiety makes more sense when you know a little about the teenager I used to be and my journey with public speaking… Excerpt from my published memoir, “Everything I Never Said Out Loud” 2026. Twenty years after that timid teenager stood in front of her classroom, struggling to find her words and ten years after I decided I was done being silent in every room, I stood on a TEDx stage. And I opened my mouth, the words came, and I made it to the end. What a moment! ❤️ All the mes I have ever been, and all the mes I have yet to become, are grateful for this one🥹 Grateful to the amazing @tedxhsrw_ team for the support every step of the way and for making sure we all had fun doing this 😁Organizing a TEDx event is a massive undertaking and they did a fantastic job 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 taken in Kleve by @ejurasalihu

Getting my locs (aka my Alifeli🥰) travel-ready because we have places to go, memories to make, and pictures to take! ✈️🇫🇷🇩🇪🇳🇱 P.S. One of the reasons I got locs was to spend less time and money on hair maintenance 😒 I fear I have been scammed😭 #LocMaintenance #BlackGirlTravel #Europe #TravelDiaries taken in Leeds, England, UK by @ejurasalihu

Next stop: Ethiopian cuisine derek tibs with injera 👌🏾 I really enjoyed the injera—the perfect amount of tanginess. Just enough to surprise my taste buds without overpowering the flavour of the beef. A light but filling dinner overall. And the best part? I still have more than enough left over for tomorrow. All for £15! 👏🏽 #discoverafricanfoods taken in Leeds, England, UK by @ejurasalihu
