I’m grateful to have worked on the Book Cover & Illustrations for @ejurasalihu ‘s ‘Everything I Never Said Out Loud’! I was tasked with pouring Ejura’s thoughts and feelings into illustrations that spoke the visual language of the poems in the book. The main concept was to render illustrations for each section in charcoal-like drawings. When you read the poems in the book, you can feel the specialness of it all. It’s almost like watching a montage of Ejura’s lived experiences. Thank you @ejurasalihu for the chance to express your words visually ❤️ The book is available on Amazon via the link in bio on

We had an International Cooking Festival and Dinner last weekend. I represented Nigeria! I chose mashed beans and sauce with boiled yam and unripe plantain, fried plantain and bread as sides. I developed this beans recipe when I was an undergrad, selling food as a side hustle. (This is not the complete recipe, and I named it Beans Veggie.) I grew up buying the Aganyin pepper paste. As a young adult, I did not find the authentic taste in most Ewa Aganyin I ate. In addition, I wanted to switch things up and make the sauce "livelier".😅 Well, well, I have improved the recipe over the last ten years.
