The team I used to coach here in Italy @teatrodelsalefootballclub stop existing. A team founded with a lot of love and a team with 50% Italian guys and 50% foreigners. The idea of teatro was more than a club, it was a way for guys coming to Italy as immigrants to find a way into the society. Our dear friend @nericalamai asked me if I wanted to become the coach for the team in a moment when I had no people who were “my people” in Florence. In teatro I found 25 people who became my people. Who I was happy to bump into on the street, who invited me to be a part of something , people who helped me learn Italian language since I felt free to speak in front of them, even if my Italian wasn’t perfect. (Not true, sometimes it was Binazzi, a professor in the Italian language who is one of 10 people in Italy who decides the vocabulary and what words to add and take away from the Italian language each year, him listening and reading my italian was stressful😂) In teatro del sale I found a purpose when I didn’t have a job. I found dirty locker rooms and freezing cold kickoffs at 10.30 pm. I found young guys growing from not saying one word to communicating enough to get themselves a job. People who missed family who were far away, who lost family who was far away, people who worked harder than others and more than what is legal to make a living. Coaches who always challenged me and w whom I could have discussions for Days before a game day about the starting 11😂. I found support when life was hard. In teatro del sale I found a piece of me, a piece of my life! Thank you guys, I love you all! ❤️ #dreamersteam by @eken5boll

Today the Swedish cup starts, good luck everyone! This was the 5th and winning penalty of the cup 2011 and for those of you fighting right now , here’s the background:

The year before this penalty I tored my ACL for the second time and the same week we got to know our dad had cancer. Another 2 months later dad passed away. During his sickness and after his death I was preparing to get back to the football field to do what I love most and in the same time I spent all time possible with my family. Every evening we watched movies together to think about something else and I remember how much effort we put into choosing the right movies since we didn’t know how many evenings and films we had left.
I was doing a record rehab for my knee and came back faster and stronger than ever before. During the winter that year I was training harder but most of all better than anyone else. When the season started in April I was prepared and I performed the best football ever. Gothenburg by then never won a title and my goal was to win the first for the club, the Swedish Cup. I was training penalties for months before this cup final , before we even were in it because I wanted to be prepared and take the last penalty if I got the chance in a final, semifinal or even during a game.
Before I took the ball I smiled at my dad up in the sky and I remember saying to him in my head “this is almost to good to be true, you see, after all this hard work I really gonna be the hero and win a title, now watch this”. The hard thing is not scoring, the hard thing is to put in the hard work when EVERYTHING is black and you feel the most far away from success that you ever been. But remember , it’s only then you can prepare and make the difference for the future. So make sure you prepare for a successful one without excuses and with focus on the things that you can affect 💫🙌🏼 #dreamersteam by @eken5boll

I always had the dream to try surf but I never found ways to get myself to do it. Until 3 weeks ago when I booked a new beginner class of one hour, me and other grown up people ready to look ridiculous. I felt excitement trying something new at 43 and 11 months. Overheard three kids in the ages 6-7 years old talking: Who do you think is the worst surfer of these rookies? And I felt Old.

After a couple of tries to jump up on the board in the sand we were going into the sea. I got up on the board on my first try! Then never again. For one hour I was thrown under water by the waves and the board and I felt exactly what I imagine it feels like being in a big washing machine. I had scratches and salt everywhere and I realized then , this might be something for me to keep on doing. So I decided I will keep on trying to learn surf.🏄🏼‍♀️

It feels healthy to reach 44 today and try to learn something new. I feel proud. But most of all I feel extremely thankful for everyone around me and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all birthday wishes❤️ I felt each one of them! #dreamersteam by @eken5boll

Stepping up 🙌 Inès Lorenius has put pen to paper on a first-team contract with @hammarbyfotboll, running until the summer of 2030!

After consistently performing for Hammarby’s U19s, Inès waited for her chance, and when it came, she took it.

At the end of July, she made her dream Damallsvenskan debut for the senior team and marked the occasion with a goal. Since then, she has continued to earn valuable minutes at senior level.

A proud moment and a well-deserved next step! Congratulations, Inès! 🤩 by @eken5boll

PROUD and THANKFUL! Thank you @acffiorentina for making me feel valued and honored at the 100 year party this weekend. Lunch with only explayers and coaches and then celebrations after the men’s game. For me it was a full circle moment.

Starting with a dream in a camper in 1990 at the age of 7: To become a professional player in Italy. A dream that was impossible since there weren’t any professional women’s team in Italy. Impossible became possible 26 years, 3 ACLs and an insane amount of dreaming and doubting later when Fiorentina started their women’s team. In Florence I got to live my dream and I got to do it with players and people who until then and by then earned little or nothing. It was an honor and I will forever be thankful to those players who made today possibile for generations to come.

In Florence I met Gianluca and now we have three kids and our life in Florence. I work as an agent and I see the amount of investment that’s being put into the women’s team in both Fiorentina and other clubs. It wouldn’t have been possibile without the people in the clubs but neither would it be possible without my ex colleagues who gave it all.

Saturday I felt valued as a player and person together with my ex teammates and ex players from the men’s side when we got to walk out on Stadio Artemio Franchi to be celebrated. The last slide is an interview with Batistuta saying ”it’s an huge emotional moment for me to be here on the field with all these legends, some of them knew from before , some of them not. To know that all of them at some moment of their career wore the Fiorentina jersey with the same proud as I did”.

I got to talk to the president and vice president and express my thanks for what their dad and husband Rocco did for the women’s team and what they as a family keep on doing. They told me Rocco didn’t miss a match, even when he was in the states he watched every game the women’s team played online on a stream.

It warmed my heart. The circle is full.

We went on a boat and I lost my boxing glove that I always wear together w my chillpill around the neck. I wear it to get balance in life between fighting and let things be. The glove (still had it on the 6th pic) went to the bottom of the ocean but the chain I managed to catch. First thought was I need to find another boxing glove but last weeks I been walking around with only the chillpill and every time I look down at the empty chain I feel kind of proud that I haven’t bought a new one yet. Maybe I will get something but for now the empty chain is the best reminder I could get. #dreamersteam🌈 by @eken5boll
