By far one of my favorite photos on mine and @danny_dinaso recent trip to Puerto Rico and quite possibly my favorite ever. This individual here is a beautiful juvenile boa constrictor flipped under some metal by @danny_dinaso this ended up being our first snake of the trip and sparked some serious hope for the rest of our trip considering we had been completely skunked the previous 2 days. Quite a lifer to start off 2026! taken in Puerto Rico by @eknowsnature

While hiking through thick primary rainforest on a mountain, @danny_dinaso and me found ourselves at the mouth of cave sprawling with millions of cockroaches and bats, amongst the chaos we had spotted a figure sitting on a rock near the mouth of the cave, a Puerto Rican boa (Chilabothrus inornatus). An endemic species, endangered species of boa closely related to the Cuban boa and the Amazon tree boa. Such an amazing experience getting to worth a couple of these guys during our trip to Puerto Rico. #puertorico #reptile #herping #boa #photography #nature taken in Puerto Rico by @eknowsnature

Awesome experience getting up close and personal with some true dinosaurs in the Everglades this week, saw quite a few of these American Crocodiles (Crocodylus acutus) cruising around the brackish waterways checking us out. An experience I’ll be sure to never forget. #crocodiles #florida #herpingflorida #crocodylus #reptile #photographer #wildlife #nature #outdoors #hiking by @eknowsnature

One of the first snakes found in Borneo was the beautiful unreal looking Malcolm’s pit viper. Not even 10 minutes into herping our first night, our guide had spotted this gem wayyyy up in the trees and with a little teamwork from @danny_dinaso we manage to safely get this gal down and to be able to interact with and photograph this otherworldly looking viper. #trimeresurus #malcolmi #herping #photography #nature taken in Borneo, Malaysia by @eknowsnature

Kobayashi’s horned frog (Pelobatrachus kobayashii) found in Borneo by our guide. Easily one of the wackiest looking amphibians I’ve ever seen in the wild and captivity, such an interesting an incredible frog. We ended up finding 2 of these guys on our trip in Borneo, definitely one of my favorite finds! #amphibian #photography #frog #borneo #nature taken in Borneo, Malaysia by @eknowsnature

While hiking through a park in Singapore @danny_dinaso spotted this perfect kopstein’s bronzeback (Dendrelaphis kopsteini) The best way to describe this snake is, if a peacock and a snake had a baby, so contrasting and colorful! #dendrelaphis #herping #nature #photography #snakes taken in Singapore by @eknowsnature

Well if 3 Malcolm’s wasn’t enough for Borneo this sure did it, after a long night of unsuccessfully finding a single snake we managed to find this gem nearing the end of the night, the Kinabalu krait (bugarus flaviceps). Our guide @moon_lupamasa had walked roughly 10ft off the trail and saw this gal slithering alongside a downed tree hunting for whatever came across her path, hearing moon scream the unforgettable words ā€œguys, krait!ā€ Will never leave my memory. taken in Borneo, Malaysia by @eknowsnature
