IAN in the Wild 🚵‍♀️

Our Art Director Ellen traded her keyboard for handlebars and took on the Chequamegon 40! She covered 41.7 miles of trails, hills and mud in 4 hours and 26 minutes—and was one of just 86 women among 1,082 riders to finish.

Congrats, Ellen, on tackling one of the Midwest's biggest mountain bike races! by @el_mn_op

Swipe to see some of the process behind “Pollinators”. This piece was inspired by rain gardens. Filled with native plants and buzzing with insects, rain gardens help absorb and filter storm run-off. These gardens are often nestled into asphalt parking lots; They are an island of life amongst an otherwise barren and impermeable city block.
•
Created primarily with up-cycled materials, including a variety of broken dishes, stained glass, and mosaic tiles. This piece is currently on display for another week or so at @afterhours.skateshop and is available for purchase!
