Some more behind the scenes of our third collaborative project ‘A Pool in the Ocean’ with @thepooljewelry
Where for this collab me and @elabauer8 worked together on these pieces to imagine what for us is a pool in the ocean. It was such a pleasure working together and the pieces are stunning.

The four final pieces will be shown during @parcoursbijoux at the beautiful gallery @atelier_neerlandais

Ela Bauer’s new collection of necklaces brings together vivid resin forms and delicate silver elements in compositions that feel playful, spontaneous, and full of movement.

What happens when resin stops being surface and begins to grow into space?

𝗘𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿’𝘀 new works open an unexpected and captivating tridimensional universe, where colour, transparency, and structure expand beyond the flat surface and become sculptural presences.

Known for her innovative use of resin, Bauer creates powerful combinations of colour through layers, reflections, and translucent depths. In this new body of work, her language moves from a bidimensional space into forms that feel alive — almost organic — as if they were growing, branching, or floating over the body.

Bright colour fields become landscapes. Glossy resin elements create rhythm, tension, and movement. Each piece invites the eye to travel through layers of opacity and transparency, revealing new details from every angle.

With these works, 𝗘𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿 won the prestigious 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 during 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — a recognition of the strength, originality, and evolution of her artistic research.

𝗘𝗹𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝗲𝗿 | 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿

Ela Bauer’s work investigates resin as a space of colour, depth, and transformation.

Through layers of pigments, transparency, and form, she creates three-dimensional works that feel almost suspended between painting, sculpture, and jewellery. Her use of resin is remarkably original: colour becomes volume, surface becomes depth, and matter becomes a field of visual discovery.

The piece presented in this carousel was awarded the 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗳𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the field of contemporary jewellery.

Ela Bauer’s, @elabauer8, work is rooted in constant transformation. Using fluid resins, she creates organic forms that oscillate between control and unpredictability. Inspired by natural phenomena, the pieces express both calm, circular movements and spontaneous branching structures, reflecting an open and ever-changing process. PERSONAL ARCHEOLOGIES
A five-day intensive workshop held by Ela Bauer and Gésine Hackenberg supported by MASieraad *, situated at Ravenstein in the Dutch countryside.
The workshop is rooted in the idea that identity is fragmented and layered, much like an archaeological dig site. Just as archaeologists interpret history through buried, broken or preserved artifacts, we too can explore our sense of self through remnants: objects, memories, rituals and absences.
Personal Archeologies encourages participants to explore questions such as: what materials do we carry with us from our ancestry, culture, gender, place, or different periods in time? Which artefacts of the self are real, performed or imagined? Where do these categories blur? How do these personal narratives relate to the body and to jewelry?
The workshop is based on a step-by-step process, focusing on personal development rather than the completion of a final object.
PERSONAL ARCHEOLOGIES offers tools to deepen one's visual language and to approach one's practice from a renewed perspective.
