| #chapter41 | Another year around the sun and what I appreciate most right now is perspective.

At 41 life feels less about proving something and more about building something meaningful. The focus shifts. You start caring less about noise and more about what actually adds value to your life. The work you are proud of. The people who show up for you. The moments that make the journey worth it.

This past year reminded me that progress rarely happens all at once. It is built quietly through consistency, discipline, and the willingness to keep showing up even when the path is not perfectly clear.

I am especially grateful for the people who have chosen to walk through life with me. The friends who have become family. The ones who celebrate the wins, stand beside you through the challenges, and make the experience of life richer than you could ever build alone.

And to my love, @carolucha58, thank you for the love, support, and joy you bring into my world. Life feels fuller, brighter, and more meaningful with you by my side.

Another year older. Another year wiser. And still very much in the process of becoming.

Here is to continuing to grow, learn, and build a life that feels authentic and meaningful.

Not in the dramatic sense.
But in the quiet, necessary ways life asks of you.

The version of me that needed approval had to go.
The one that played small to keep others comfortable had to go.
The one that hesitated, doubted, and waited for permission had to go.

Growth is rarely glamorous. It’s a series of small endings.
Old beliefs. Old habits. Old identities that once protected you but eventually start holding you back.

And every time one of those versions falls away, it hurts a little.
Because even the parts of us that limit us were once trying to keep us safe.

But on the other side of that shedding is something powerful.
Clarity. Confidence. Self-trust.

The version of you that exists today is built on every moment you chose to evolve instead of stay comfortable.

So if you feel like parts of you are falling away lately…
Good.

It means you’re becoming someone new.

Someone stronger. Someone wiser. Someone more aligned with the life you’re meant to build.

| #2025recap | As this year comes to a close, I’ve been thinking a lot about perspective.

There’s been no shortage of noise and heaviness in the world. Even so, I’m choosing to pause, look inward, and focus on gratitude. This year gave me so much to hold onto.

I turned 40 and rang in a new decade surrounded by 17 loved ones who flew in from all over the country to celebrate together in Palm Springs. That alone still feels unreal.

I traveled through Europe in ways that felt grounding and expansive. Amsterdam with my best friend, boating the canals and wandering cobblestone streets. Sevilla and Madrid with my dear friend Makenna, arriving during Semana Santa, eating and drinking our way through the city. And a long Paris layover where I finally took myself to a Michelin-star dinner I’d dreamed about, overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

I traveled nearly every month for work and for joy. Mexico, New York, Atlanta, Miami, Joshua Tree, San Diego, Palm Springs again, Singapore, and so many places in between.

After almost a year of persistence and countless appointments, I finally received my updated birth certificate with the correct name and gender marker. A quiet but monumental win.

I hit KPIs with my team at JLL and exceeded my goals with @dripdesigns.io as we continue to grow and be recognized as an authority in the space.

And most profoundly, I found love in a way that feels steady, gentle, and deeply meaningful. @carolucha58 , you are everything I didn’t know how to ask for and everything my heart was hoping for. You’re brilliant, kind, and thoughtful in ways that show up every day, especially in the quiet moments. You share my humor, you care deeply, and you make life feel warmer just by being in it. Loving you has been the greatest gift of this year.

Heading into what’s next with a full heart. Grateful. Grounded. Choosing the light.
