The event concept was harvest, from the kites that come with the dry season winds, to the alang alang and dry grasses in the details, to the icon of the event. A giant heron bending over the center of the dinner area for a reception for 700 people. Incredible bamboo artistry by @udianataudianata and team. Every angle was a dream. Jenggala, since 1976. The event design reflected every bit of the identity of @jenggala_official and it was amazing to see such a clear vision implemented for their 50th celebration. Staying very faithful to the Indonesian and Balinese details and centring the people who made the whole thing possible, from the first potter that ever joined, to the hundreds of people who belong to the bigger family of @tandjungsari and Cafe Batujimbar. Our favorite details included the tiles for each guest to leave a mark that will then become a permanent display once fired, the beautiful cili and frog motifs, the Indonesia inspired dress code, the incredible new exhibition charting their history through ceramic pieces, the hand drawn signs, and the love that covered every inch and moment of the night. taken in Jenggala Keramik Bali by @elamiandco

Things we’ve seen/explored/designed over last weeks: got to see the amazing new cinema and space at @cocaubud; heard some great talks at @intothewild.club including by @made.masak; prepped Macet Bali to go to Jakarta to the @indonesiadesigndistrict; saw the journal canang charm for the first time; got to play a small role in prepping for @jenggala_official’s 50th birthday event; stopped by the new @rad_ruangartaderau exhibition; sent too many gifs in the group chat (and too many revised layouts); and saw our beautiful @tokoelami products become part of @indonesiadesigndistrict’s Artisan Alley! taken in Bali, Indonesia by @elamiandco
