After a long labor spanning three days, his peaceful arrival was the greatest gift. He’s got his papa’s eyes and some say he resembles mama… a blend of the two of us, he’s everything we could have ever imagined and more. My heart has never known a love like this! It is already the privilege of my life to be his mother.

A lingering love for this special place 🩵

We moved at a different pace for our last holo holo trip – more relaxing, less exploring every nook & cranny, lots of delicious food, sweet congratulatory smiles from strangers. Aaron still surfed and we visited many of our favorite jaunts. He dug me a hole in the sand for my belly, we played tic tac toe in the sand, paused to feel little one move all around and took naps on the beach. It felt symbolic to journey here as it’s held such cherished memories over the years. I cried big, fat crocodile tears on the flight home – holding so much space and love for the two young souls we were and the journey we’re about to embark on! taken in Kingdom of Hawai'i by @elanaloo

Nesting & resting 🐚🥥

Keeping it simple & close to nature when sourcing for the arrival and celebration of this babe. We’re often told that babies need a lot of stuff but I’m grateful for the families who have showed me the opposite is actually true because this still feels like a lot!

Quality > quantity, secondhand > new, honoring your unique lifestyle over lists of “must haves.”

Memories from our Florida & Utah trip earlier this year 🤍 Deep gratitude for the loving relationships that still feel nourishing even if we’re halfway around the globe from one another. One of my favorite parts of my pregnancy was getting to see a handful of the people we love dearly (you know who you are)! It’s incredibly hard to say ‘see you later’ but our time together means more than I can say. My heart was so warmed by the genuine love and care I felt this visit. Embracing this third trimester and whatever adventures I can still manage! I have been craving the beach, floating in the mineral rich salt water, letting the sun kiss my belly, feeling weightless for a moment. So we made a trek out to one of our favorite spots — six miles under foot but worth every step. Nourishment in the form of island grown food, home cooked meals, herbal allies, plenty of rest, ocean dips, sun soaks, nurturing relationships, positive stories from women who have walked this path before me and a life lived reaaal slow 🌞🍊🥩🫜🫛🫐🍌🥥🥬 This has been the most sacred season of tending and attunement yet. What a gift it is to understand that this is absolute magic and also a very natural part of life.
