Our drop #4 merch is officially here 🍌🥭 and of course we ended today’s run at a fruit stand!!! We wanted a singlet that felt Latino, without the cliché. So we looked to something we all grew up seeing: the little fruit stickers that travel from LATAM to the US. They’re on the mangos, bananas, and aguacates in every bodega, supermarket, and fruit stand across NYC. That sticker became our symbol. It represents everyone who traveled from far away to get here, and the latinidad we carry con orgullo every single mile. Gracias @nikerunning for believing in this crazy idea and sponsoring our singlets for this marathon season 🤍 And a huge shoutout to the creative team that brought it to life: Isaac, Lili, and Fer 🙌 ✍️👩‍💻Campaign communication strategy: @liliamas_ 📸🎥 Campaign Photo & video: @isaccarvajals @__elfer ✍️copy/brainstorming @miguesininsta model by @elbarriorunning

For this marathon season we partnered with @nikenyc to create something that truly represents El Barrio. We were inspired by fruit stickers, those little labels that travel from home to every bodega and market in this city, carrying where they come from with them. Just like us. 🍌🥭🍋 Our logo, with a sticker on top. Hecho con orgullo, corremos en Nueva York. 🎥🎬🎞️ @isaccarvajals Modelo @miguesininstagram by @elbarriorunning

Todas las frutas te dicen de dónde vienen. Los stickers existen porque la fruta importada, la fruta buena, la fruta que venía de otro lugar, necesitaba identificarse. Eran una especie de sello de origen, de calidad, de orgullo. by @elbarriorunning
