POSTS STORIES REELS

I’m passionate about photographing women because life moves fast, and we are often the last person on our own list. I want you to pause and celebrate yourself, not when everything is perfect, but because you deserve it now. Loving yourself is not a concept, it’s a practice. So this year, I’m stepping in too. If you’ve been postponing, you’re not alone.

I’m Elberta, a professional portrait photographer based in Kingsbury, NW9, creating elegant, emotional images for women and families across North West London. Every session is guided and studio lit, with thoughtful styling and calm direction so you feel comfortable and look your best.

From artistic portraits that help you remember who you are, to business portraits that speak before you do, I create photographs with meaning. I also photograph the chapters you’ll never want to forget, maternity, newborn days, family moments, and first birthdays.

My studio is warm and welcoming, designed for real connection and images that age beautifully. Clients choose me for a refined look, flattering posing, and a process that feels organised, calm, and personal from start to finish.

Let’s begin where all meaningful portraits begin, with a real conversation. You bring the story, the season you’re living in, the people you love, and the things that light you up, your work, your dreams, your identity beyond the roles. I’ll listen closely, then we’ll plan a session that turns all of that into a legacy you’ll be proud to keep, and proud to pass on. by @elbertapictures

I wanted to show you the set a little more closely, because photographs don’t always show quite how much space there is in real life.

It’s a full set built in the studio, with full-sized trees, a fireplace, window, bench, presents, candles and all the little details children end up discovering during their session.

I like having room to move, change angles and let things happen a little more naturally.

Christmas Portraits 2026 are now open for bookings in NW London.

Multumesc frumos cea mai frumoasa sedinta foto de Craciun ! Recomand cu drag @elbertapictures ❤️❤️ by @elbertapictures

A child doesn’t see the set the way an adult does.

We see the tree, the colours, the light and whether everything works together.

They see the things they can touch.

What moves.

What catches the light.

What needs to be investigated immediately.

And that’s exactly why, when I build a set for children, I think about what they might find interesting in it too.

Because sometimes the photograph begins with a bauble on the floor. by @elbertapictures

One of the things I cared about most when building this year’s Christmas set was creating a space where we could move, explore and create, rather than repeating the same photograph.

The same space can become a wide frame where almost the whole set is visible.

Then a close portrait where Christmas is reduced to light, texture and a little glow in the background.

I can photograph through the trees, beside the window, from floor level, or use elements of the set as part of the frame.

And I’m still finding new ways to photograph it.

That is probably one of my favourite things about this year’s set.

It gives me space to keep looking, moving and creating throughout the session.

When I photograph a family, I like to look at the relationships within it too.

The family together.

Then mother and daughter.

Father and child.

Siblings, if there are any.

Each of these connections tells a different story.

And sometimes, a photograph of just two people from the same family can come to mean far more, years later, than we could have imagined on the day it was taken.

This is one of those photographs I would want every family to have. by @elbertapictures

I love the photographs where, for a few seconds, nobody is looking at me.

Everyone’s attention shifts to the same thing.

A small present, a little curiosity, something that brings them all a little closer together.

And suddenly I’m no longer photographing three people sitting in a Christmas set.

I’m photographing the way they are together.

That’s what I look for in a family session.

Of course we’ll take the portraits where everyone looks at the camera.

But I want to keep the moments that happen in between too. by @elbertapictures

I’m a photographer who cares about the light being perfect. The posing, the expressions, the focus. I want everything to be just right.

That’s also why I usually recommend my 30-minute Christmas sessions for families of two adults and up to two children.

And then there’s this family.

I think this is our fourth Christmas together. When they first came to me, there were four boys. Now there are five.

Every single year, I welcome them back with my heart wide open.

And every single year, so many of the things I’ve spent years learning, the rules, the precision, the need to control every little detail, I simply let go of.

I let them be themselves.

And the parents don’t care about perfection either. They just want memories of their boys, exactly as they are right now.

And somehow, we always end up with a pretty perfect, imperfect gallery.

I’ll gladly photograph them for many more years to come.

At this point, let’s just see how many children I can fit into my Christmas setup. 😂 by @elbertapictures

When a child comes into a family, it is very easy for every photograph to start being about them.

And of course I want to photograph the children, their expressions, the things they discover and the way they change.

But during a family session, I try not to forget about you either.

The way you look at each other.

The relationship that existed before you became parents and is still there among the toys, presents and all the little distractions around you.

I love it when one photograph can hold the child, the family, and a little bit of the two of you as well. by @elbertapictures

Behind the scenes 🫶🏻Thank you @elbertapictures ❤️ #christmasiscoming #christmasfotoshooting❤️🎅 #christmasfotosession by @elbertapictures

The Christmas set is never actually finished when I say it’s finished.

The latest additions: a bowl filled with little presents, fir branches, fairy lights, pine cones, cinnamon, star anise and baubles, another three letters pegged to a piece of string and hung from the wooden ladder and, obviously, a sofa.

A sofa which, for a good few minutes, I was convinced had arrived incomplete.

The back cushions were hidden inside it. 😅

Now I genuinely think the set is finished.

I think…

It could probably use one more thing.

I’ll be back. by @elbertapictures
