As some of you may have heard by now, on Thursday 9/17, my big brother was diagnosed with colon cancer. He had been dealing with stomach pains, sudden weight loss, low energy, and a lack of appetite. Even then, this was not what we expected. Since Thursday night when we received the news, A LOT of progress has been made. The amazing doctors at Intermountain Health got to work immediately, they began with blood transfusions and kept him overnight to monitor all his vitals and get him back to a somewhat normal state. Friday came the colonoscopy to locate the mass and get a sample for testing. Last night, Saturday 9/19, he had a successful surgery in which they removed the baseball sized mass in his stomach. From the scans that were taken along with the colonoscopy, the doctors are pretty positive that the cancer has not spread to any major organs, only some nearby lymph nodes. As of right now that's what we know. Monday we will get more test results and see what kind of treatment is next.

Rigo has been in amazing spirits and is positive as can be. Through all of this, his spirit has been what shines the brightest. His sense of humor hasn't wavered and the smile we all know and love has stayed present. He's strong and we are all confident that he will beat this, because that is who he is.

Up to this point, Marisol, our parents, our friends, Larissa and myself have been by his side every single step of the way. Now we are asking for the support of our community. Brian and I have set up a GoFundMe for the coming weeks. He will not be able to work and as everyone can imagine, the medical bills without any health insurance are already beginning to stack up. Every single donation, every single thought, every single prayer, and all the good energy is appreciated.

September 2026 dump
This first pic was on my last day in Brooklyn with Mr. Mike 🖤

September was a long scary month and it made me realize how important a lot of people are to me and how I need to tell them I love them a lot more. I'm glad I'll get to tell my brother Rigo I love him every time I see him for a very long time ❤️

Dinner and a movie with the LaBontés at Cloister Recordings headquarters. Everyone should go watch Happiness. It's a very feel good movie.

I went to NY for the first time in almost 10 years. This pic is of Brooklyn's sky looking very pretty literally right before a nor'easter hit.

Then it rained the rest of the time I was there.

The main reason for my trip to NY was to see some amazing friends I haven't seen in way too long. I love you Lexie! 🖤🖤🖤

2nd reason was to see Cabaret Voltaire because I missed them in Denver and this is their last US tour. Best show I've been to all year (so far).

I also got to see Iron Lung, Brain Tourniquet, & Suppression. All very sick.

Mr. Mike has a radio show on East Village Radio every Friday that you should listen to.

I found the only Raiders bar in New York which happened to be an Irish pub in east Manhattan and watched the Raiders beat the Aints.

I met the owner of the bar and the president of the New York Las Vegas Raiders fan club. "FUCK DENVAH"

Thomas is a diehard Raiders fan now.

I went to the first record store I went to the first time I ever visited NY and immediately found a funk record I've been searching for for a minute.

Mr. Mike also took me to my new favorite record store in Brooklyn, Fringe Records.

I met the owner and it turns out he loves Marcus and Nicole as much as I do. Go buy some records from him!

Ended the month at my home away from home, Hi-Dive for an incredible kyc show with Spike Hellis and Normal Bias. Our next show is this coming Friday with Mvtant and Pink Stilleto, also at Hi-Dive. We're also announcing our 9 year anniversary show lineup on Tuesday. It's insane.

10 years ago today I adopted my best friend Lemmy. I've been through a lot in the past 10 years and he's been by my side through all of it. I have a million pics and videos of him, but here's a little dump of just a few of them:
