I had a week off the Internet - no social media, no games, paper based books. It was a joy by @electra_rhodes

Last year I set up my laavu in the garden to watch the night sky. I feel some garden dreaming coming on.. by @electra_rhodes

Today I turned this vintage water pot into a cordless lamp base. And although the cream shade is just too cream it was at least free - it was left behind in a house I moved into. I'll upgrade it with some homemade bias binding pleats eventually. Maybe in red, orange and pink. For now though? The pot and shade aren't in landfill. I've got a lamp where a cord would be a pain. And the patina on the copper makes me want to swoon. by @electra_rhodes

Today, I am appreciating an old vase that sat on my parent's sideboard for years. Occasionally, it contained hydrangeas. Usually, it was empty. Then, an aunt gave my mum a big bunch of fake plastic flowers and they filled this vase for a decade or more. I hated them. When I was clearing my parent's house I almost donated this vase. But something gave me pause. Now they are full of the flowers from my subscription with @bluefernflorist I dry each bunch and, as time passes, I add them to the vase. I'm not a great arranger but I love this vase now. Sometimes, things, people, words, just need to be handled differently for them to reach their potential by @electra_rhodes

Today I put a couple of notebooks into the cupboard where my work rests while it grows. I'll look at it again in a few weeks or months. Just to see how it's doing.

Today I am sitting on a precarious perch to get a different perspective on the piece I am writing.

Today I wrote out a dozen writing prompts related to my current project onto little strips of paper and tipped them into this little fairing. I pulled one out at random and then wrote for 15 minutes. Then another, and then a third. Most enjoyable! And it meant I wrote with ease for almost an hour.
