📚 Meet the Judges of the 2026 History Through Fiction Short Story Contest! 📚

Every great contest deserves an exceptional panel of judges, and we're honored to have these accomplished writers and storytellers reviewing this year's submissions:

✨ Patricia Furstenberg — Romanian-born, South Africa-based author of immersive historical fiction set in medieval Transylvania, known for bringing overlooked women and forgotten history to life.

✨ Electra Rhodes — Award-winning fiction and nonfiction writer, archaeologist, and landscape historian whose work has appeared in hundreds of journals and anthologies.

✨ Robbie Westacott — Short story writer, poet, playwright, and founder of The Writer's Journey Community, dedicated to helping writers build lasting creative habits.

✨ Christopher DeWitt — Author of the historical novel Devil Preacher, Air Force veteran, and contributor to The Blood of Englishmen, with a passion for compelling historical storytelling.

Our judges bring decades of writing, publishing, and literary expertise to the contest, and we couldn't ask for a more talented group to evaluate this year's entries.

⏰ Submissions close August 15! If you haven't entered yet, there's still time to share your story with this outstanding panel.
