It was an honor to be a part of Antone’s 50th Presents Chicago Bound: Honoring Muddy, Cliff & Blue. These new recordings were assembled to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Austin’s Home of the Blues and to pay tribute to Muddy Waters, the nightclub’s founder Clifford Antone and Bobby “Blue” Bland. Thank you @recordingacademy members for your consideration taken in Sam Phillips Recording Service, Inc. by @electraphonic

Don’t miss this Wednesday night at @memphislisteninglab
If you have not heard @jimmyhartmouthofthesouthwwehof Gentry’s material cut at @samphillipsrecording and produced by Knox Phillips, it is some of my favorite stuff ever recorded at the studio.
This event is celebrating the upcoming @sunrecordcompany release of some never before heard material from those sessions.
I have the honor of moderating along with @dothe45. I can guarantee some amazing stories covering Memphis Music, Wrestling and everything in between! taken in Memphis Listening Lab by @electraphonic

Every composer, consciously or unconsciously, carries the imprint of the sound, traditions, culture, and experiences of their home town in their music. Where they are from infuses their music and contributes to the creation of a unique sound and style 🎶

Join us for a conversation between Memphis composer Scott Bomar and New Orleans-born composer Jay Weigel as they unpack how geography influences music creation and helps composers in finding their distinctive sound ✨

RSVP at the link in our bio and stories!
