Anytime a meal can have multiple sauces for dipping, I am absolutely in!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These cheesy chicken tenders are simple 1 step, reminiscent of shake and bake. Add the chicken tenders, the almond meal and spices then SHAKE! My suggestion, use a big tupperware instead of a plastic bag to avoid any plastic waste. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then the 3 sauces are all based on 1 homemade mayo base divided up and blended with addition. So you can use 1 immersion blender and a spoon for maximum ROI. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Find the full recipe on the blog! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ http://www.elementarycook.com/?p=711⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #kidfriendly #kids #whole30kids #easyweeknight #weeknight #simplemeal ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #weeknight #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni by @elementarycook
Risotto is special simply because of the time and effort required to make it. Adding broth a little at a time, for 30 minutes with constant stirring is not my idea of a good time. Instead, I’ve skipped all of those steps. Put it together in a cast iron dutch oven and bake for 45 minutes. No stirring, no watching, and no slowly pouring in the broth.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Serve with roasted asparagus and seared scallops for a date night to remember! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ingredients⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2 Cups Mushrooms Sliced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Tablespoon Ghee⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Medium Onion Minced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4 Cloves Garlic Minced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 1/2 Cup Arborio Rice⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2 Cups Beef Bone Broth⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2 1/2 Cups Water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Teaspoon Salt⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1/4 Teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1/2 Cup Basil Sliced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Method:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Preheat Oven to 350F⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Heat a cast iron dutch oven over medium-high heat, add the ghee and allow to heat. Add the mushrooms. Cook until golden brown. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Add the onion and garlic. Cook until the onions are translucent. Add in the balsamic vinegar. Turn off the heat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Add in the rice, bone broth, and water. Stir until thoroughly combined. Cover the pot tightly with the lid. Bake for 40 minutes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Remove the pot from the oven and stir in the sliced basil. Taste and adjust for salt. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ http://www.elementarycook.com/?p=700⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #risotto #dairyfreebakedrisotto #dairyfree #glutenfree #allergenfriendly #easymeal #dairyfreeitalian #italian #gf #gfitalian #gfree #dairyfreeglutenfree #simplemeal by @elementarycook

Soup is the best meal prep hack I know. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Make a batch of soup, have easy meals all week long. Or stash individual serves in the freezer for quick meals in a pinch. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This Butternut Squash Soup is one of my favorites, creamy flavor and packed with veggies. It is perfect to keep on hand all year long. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Find the full recipe on the link in my bio!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ http://www.elementarycook.com/?p=678⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #soup #vegan #butternutsquashsoup #winter #comfortfood #cozyfood #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni by @elementarycook
I am ridiculously busy lately. I mean barely have time to take a bathroom break busy. Between a full time job, a blog to run, and everything else I just don't have time to spend in the kitchen. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank goodness for the instant pot and slow cookers. Oh and curries because curry is the best. Be aware this recipe is anything, but a tradition curry, but it utilizes the big flavours we all know and love in a simple dish. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or meal prepping a week of lunches. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Follow the link in my bio for the recipe! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ http://www.elementarycook.com/?p=609⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni #instantpot #slowcooker #currychicken #whole30indian #mealprep #jerf #realfood #chicken by @elementarycook
Need some meal prep inspo? My best ever shredded chicken is stupid-easy packed with flavor and budget friendly! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ingredients⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Medium Onion Quartered⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 6 Cloves Garlic Smashed⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Cup Bone Broth⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Whole Chicken (2.5-3lbs)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Salt and Pepper to Taste⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instructions⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the bottom of the instant pot add the 1 quartered onion, 6 cloves smashed garlic and 1 cup Bone Broth. Set the steamer insert on top. Set the chicken on top of the steamer insert. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Set the instant pot to high pressure and cook for 35 minutes. Manually release the pressure. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Remove the chicken from the instant pot. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and then remove the meat from bones and shred. After shredding the chicken season the chicken with a pinch of salt and a couple spoons of broth from the instant pot.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Recipe Notes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Spooning the broth over the shredded chicken keeps the chicken from drying out!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni #mealprep #chicken #bulking #protien by @elementarycook
I recently gave up coffee for 6 weeks. The longest I have been without coffee in 8 years. I have to say, it was more difficult than a round of Whole30 for me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Over the course of 6 weeks, I tried many different substitute drinks in the morning. I always have a bulletproof coffee in the mornings to keep me full and energized. Since coffee was out of the question, I tried Bulletproof Chai Teas, Bulletproof Beet Lattes, and my favorite Bulletproof Matcha Latte with Orange Blossom. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Orange blossom water is often used in Lebanese desserts. It has a unique floral meets fruit taste and is a perfect counterpoint to the earthy matcha. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bulletproof Matcha with Orange Blossom⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ngredients⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 8 oz Boiling Water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 teaspoon Coconut Oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 teaspoon Ghee⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ¼ Cup Almond Milk⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Tablespoon Orange Blossom Water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⅛ teaspoon Salt⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Tablespoon Collagen or Gelatin Optional⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instructions⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Add all the ingredients to a blender cup. Blend for 30 seconds until well combined and frothy!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Serve in your favorite mug!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #matcha #latte #greendrink #paleo #matchalatte #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni by @elementarycook
Eggs for dinner is my go-to I don't feel like cooking. Serve on a bed of greens with your preferred salad toppings. Top with lemon juice, olive oil, and nutritional yeast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Dinner sorted⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #breakfast #easydinner #eggs #realfood #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni by @elementarycook
Anyone else remember the early days of Pinterest? When almost all of the recipes featured were desserts with 100 ingredients, screenshots of recipes shared on Facebook, or weird art projects? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I will always remember Mississippi Pot Roast as one of those recipes that you could not get away from on Pinterest. It was everywhere, and for good reason. That recipe is insanely delicious.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The downside, it utilized seasoning packets which features ingredients such as caramel color, dextrose, and hydrolyzed corn. Ekk not something I want to be eating. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So with a little shifting and a whole bunch of trial and error, I present to you Whole30 Mississippi Pot Roast just like your mama made. Packed with flavor, easy to throw together and near impossible to mess up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Serve with baked potatoes or cauli-mash for an easy Whole30 meal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ http://www.elementarycook.com/?p=661⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni #potroast #slowcooker #instantpoy #easy #weeknightmeal by @elementarycook
Sometimes recipes aren't thought out for me. More often than not my recipes are an attempt to clean out the fridge or use up what is on sale. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was one such recipe, lamb necks were on sale and I had a massive amount of onions and sweet potatoes. So I riffed on Lebanese/middle eastern flavors. Combined cinnamon, nutmeg with black pepper and earthy charred onions. Cooked in the pressure cooker and served over mashed sweet potatoes. Delicious, yet never to be recreated due to the amount of riffing and lack of note taking ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Are you team riffing on what is in the fridge or stringent recipe follower?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Answer below ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ , #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni #realfood #norecipe by @elementarycook
#greensmoothie for life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Happy Monday! Healthy breakfasts can be difficult to keep up with on a daily basis. Green smoothies are the perfect solution. Only 5 minutes to throw together and I work in a serving of greens? Heck yes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I do my best to keep my smoothies low sugar and only use a small banana or ½ a banana and a small bit of fruit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My Everyday Smoothie:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Small Banana (or ½ a large banana)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 60 grams (about 1 cup packed) spinach or kale⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ½ Cup Coconut Cream⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Serving Collagen ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter or Almond Butter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cinnamon + Nutmeg⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Handful of Ice⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Water to Top if needed⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #greensmoothie #easybreakfast #whole30approved #whole30recipes #iamwhole30 #paleolifestyle #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #nourishyourbody #sugarfree #grainfree #whole30homies #whole30life #cleaneating #nosugaradded #grainfree⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #instahealth #wholefood #cleaneatingaddict #whole30alumni #cleanbreakfast #easybreakfast #healthybreakfast #simplebreaky #snack #cleaneatingprotienshake by @elementarycook
Winter is officially here in Sydney, and I'm already over it. It is cold, the wind hurts my ears and I've been wearing about 100 layers to work every day. Basically, I'm turning to all my comfort foods lately. Coffee is my number one all the time and my cardamom coffee creamer has been go-to addition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you have never had cardamom before, it is a citrusy warming spice. And it pairs with coffee in way vanilla and cinnamon only wish they could acheive. It is especially stunning on a cold morning warmed through and foamed like the coziest latte ever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Check out the full recipe on the blog via the link in my bio!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ http://www.elementarycook.com/2018/09/08/cardamon-coffee-creamer-whole30-paleo/⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . by @elementarycook
