Flashback to August, the day before Joris’ CCC race ⛰️⚡
Follow Joris, Lena and Alex along on the shake out run (where mountain goat Alex strikes again 🐐). The morning after we got invited to another run, this time with @compressport before things get real the next day.
It hit Joris however quite quickly, as soon as he picked up his bib number, like oh - this is actually happening.

DREAM BIG 🫶🏼

CCC 2026: 108km 6400m D+ in 16h05'39" (P205/1974), 3rd Belgian 🇧🇪)

After chasing the goal of being in the UTMB Finals for more than 3 years, crossing this finish line meant much more than just the race.

It was a journey about trusting the process and moving forward, step by step.

Ben Dhiman said it best after winning the UTMB this year: "You learn that you can get anywhere if you walk long enough"

Despite all the obstacles (last minute course changes that added more distance and vert, horrendous weather during the first climb, vomiting on the course due to an overconsumption of sodium 🍜 and very low energy right after), managed to pace perfectly and finish strong!

From P500+ at the top of the first climb, steadily climbed all the way to P205. A result I could have only dreamt of.

Can't wait for what the future holds 👀

This morning at 9:00AM, Joris lined up in Courmayeur (Italy) for the start of the CCC, one of the most legendary 100K races in the world and the official 100K Final of the UTMB World Series.
Also often called the "little sister of the UTMB," but don't let the nickname fool you: 108 kilometers, 6,400 meters of climbing, and a 28 hour cutoff.

From all of us at the Elevate Running Team, we are wishing Joris good luck on this race, getting there is already a huge achievement ⚡️

Tomorrow is CCC-day! 🏔️

At 9:00 sharp @joris_huang will be taking on the CCC - Hoka UTMB Mt. Blanc. Joris will by now be sleeping like a rose (hopefully 🤞🏼), but we wanted to show you what he will be carrying with him tomorrow 👀.

Tomorrow’s parcous will also have more elevation and kilometers than the original parcours, due to adjustments because of the bad weather⛈️.

108km with 6.397D+ and 3539 is the number to follow!

Ad | The Tour du Mont Blanc in Altra Running

D4. The last one 🏔️

Rough morning for Alex and Laurent, both would’ve happily crawled back into bed instead of lacing up one more time 🐛.
In addition, Joris forgot his sunglasses somewhere along the way and Alex’s knee was done for, making the finish line even harder to reach. Even right till the end, the trip proved to be chaotic at times.

This recap marks the end of our Tour du Mont Blanc fastpack.
4 days. 3 borders crossed on foot. Endless climbs, longer descents, and more salt lost than we’d like to admit 🧂.

Would we do it again? Joris says yes without hesitation. Alex and Laurent... ask them when you see them 😅
