We get the job done… eventually 😅

If you ever wondered what it’s like having a PT with ADHD and a lil’ tism, now you know.

Somehow the results still hit though 🕺

Let me preface by saying you’ll see me smile and look at the camera, not because it’s funny, but because I had never been the first contact for an injury like this. This is a normal reaction. So fluff off 🥰.

One of my patients landed wrong at wrestling practice. That’s all it took for a PCL tear. 🥲

His family did the right thing, they didn’t just wait for the ortho appointment. They reached out to get him moving in the right direction first.

Here’s why that matters:
A PCL injury responds really well to early, targeted rehab. The quad muscle is the primary stabilizer when the PCL is compromised, and the longer you wait to start activating it, the harder recovery gets.

Starting PT early means less atrophy, better movement patterns, and a faster road back to the mat.

Your ortho appointment is important. But so is what you do before it.

If you’re still dealing with a nagging injury, DM me and let’s get to talking 🙏🏻

Most back pain isn’t an emergency. But some of it is, and knowing the difference matters.

As a Physical Therapist, these are the symptoms where I tell people to stop scrolling and get to the ER:

🚩 Leg weakness that came on suddenly
🚩 Numbness in the groin or saddle area
🚩 Bladder or bowel changes
🚩 Intense pelvic pain with any of the above

Urgent care can’t run the emergency MRI you need. Go straight to the hospital and tell them exactly what’s happening.

Know the signs. Act fast.

“It wasn’t an injury yet — but I knew something was off.”

Joseph came to us over a year ago after noticing his bench form was breaking down, foot placement off, arching on the bench, and lower back spasms that followed.

Nothing diagnosed. No “injury” on paper. Just his body telling him something wasn’t right.

That’s the difference between reactive care and proactive care. You don’t have to wait until it’s bad to fix it.

A year later, he’s still training, still competing, and still with us.

Part 1 of Joseph’s story 🎥

“After being told 3-6 months for a full recovery, I was back in the gym at 2 months.”

Ileana came to us a month after rotator cuff surgery, already doing traditional insurance-based PT, but not seeing the results she wanted.

One session in, she noticed a difference in her mobility.

Two months post-op, she’s back to her regular gym sessions with most of her strength and mobility restored.

This is the difference 1:1, root-cause care makes. Not rushed visits. Not a generic protocol.

A plan built around getting YOU back to what you love doing.

Golfers. Pitchers. Hitters. Quarterbacks. Volleyball players.

Every one of these sports lives and dies by one thing: how well you can generate and transfer rotational power through your hips and trunk.

That’s not built with crunches and planks. It’s built with resisted rotation, loaded through a full range, training your body to move force the way it actually has to on the field, course, or court.

This is how we train the engine behind your swing, throw, serve, and release, not just “core work,” but the power source for your sport.

If your performance depends on rotation, this is non-negotiable training.

Want to add real power to your swing, throw, or serve? DM us “READY” or book a call, link in bio. taken in Murrieta, California by @elevateyoupt

This is just... life as a physical therapist. 😂

You don’t get to clock out. Gait catches your eye on the sidewalk, posture at skee-ball, shoulder mechanics over beers, and yeah, I will tell you how to pull a slot machine lever without wrecking your shoulder.

It’s not that I’m trying to be “on.” My brain just doesn’t know how to turn it off anymore.

Honestly? Wouldn’t trade it. This is what happens when you actually love what you do.

If your body’s been trying to tell you something and you’re tired of ignoring it — DM us “READY” or book a call, link in bio. Let’s actually fix it.

POV: coaching hopping again after knee surgery

Landing mechanics don’t come back overnight.

We start banded, take some load off, build confidence in the joint, then strip the support away and let him own the movement on his own.

This is the step between “cleared for activity” and actually trusting the knee again.

Progress isn’t just about strength, it’s about rebuilding the nervous system’s trust in the joint, one rep at a time.

Sumi told us straight up, he’s usually pretty skeptical of caregivers, especially in the wellness space.

Fair.

What changed that? A science-based, holistic approach that actually met him where he’s at, not a cookie-cutter plan.

His advice to anyone on the fence: PT isn’t separate from your training, it’s part of the investment.

You can build muscle in the gym all day, but without the recovery and rehab work behind it, you’re just building on a shaky foundation.

“It’s how you eat, how you rehab, it’s how you work out.” — Sumi

Part 5 of Sumi’s story 🎥

Skeptical too? Fair enough, DM us “READY” or book a call, link in bio, and let’s talk it through.

Most rehab fails because you’re in a constant cycle of pain > pain relief > activity> flare up> PT or Chiro> pain relief… and the cycle keeps going.

But what if we changed the loop?

What if we were able to stop the flare ups?

How would that make you feel?

If you’re still stuck in the constant loop, I hear you.

If you’re tired of being stuck in the same loop, DM me “pain” or schedule a call at the link in my bio. 🙏🏻

POV: teaching the hip hinge again after PCL surgery

Relearning how to load a movement safely after surgery isn’t just about strength, it’s about rebuilding the pattern from scratch.

Chest tall, hips back, feet grounded, and letting the knee do its job without fear.

A few cues and a few reps later? Noticeably cleaner form.

This is what “closed chain” rehab looks like in real time, meeting the movement where the knee’s actually at.

Recovering from surgery and need a plan that gets you back to real movement, not just exercises? DM us “READY” or book a call — link in bio.
