Official release day is here for Andrew Anderson’s haunting “Thresholds” — a disquieting amalgamation of precise sound art and fluid dream logic. Anderson’s unnerving assemblages of found sounds and original field recordings exist in the liminal space between uniquely phrased foley and raw free association. With “Thresholds”, he has managed to transcribe a phantasmagoria of eldritch images and reverberations, often felt but seldom rendered.

Stream the album in full and find the vinyl editions now at Bandcamp (link in bio) or from @soundohm in Europe, @tobirarecords in Japan, among others reputable stockists. Issued on limited edition clear or black vinyl LPs in poly-lined inner sleeves inside gorgeous, full-color jackets with spot UV printing and Pantone interior flood, featuring beautiful photography by Anderson. Mastered for vinyl by Lawrence English @room40shoots and cut by Andreas Lubich @lupo_lubich.

Release day is finally here for Ian Wellman's brilliant “Particularly Dangerous Situation” -- a meditative, at times harrowing, interpretive document of the catastrophic California wildfires of 2025. Wellman's stunningly descriptive field recordings plus his signature tape loop textures and sampled drones combine for a dramatic ten-part narrative that is both frightening and sorrowful in its depiction of calamitous events.

Stream the album in full and find the vinyl editions now at Bandcamp (link in bio) or from @soundohm in Europe, @tobirarecords in Japan, @normanrecs in the UK, @screamandwrithe in Canada, or at your favorite store via @clandestine_distribution. Issued on limited edition clear or black vinyl LPs in black poly-lined inner sleeves inside gorgeous, full-color jackets with spot UV printing and flooded black interior, featuring evocative photography by Wellman. Mastered for vinyl by Lawrence English @room40shoots and cut by Andreas Lubich @lupo_lubich. Photo of Ian by @patriciawolf_music.

Dedicated to Garek Druss.

“S∞S” is out today ❤️‍🔥

It has been a deep journey and we are excited to share this music, which is also the result of many years of our friendship. So grateful to everyone involved in creating this album, and especially to Colin for his generosity and care, and for giving it the best possible home at @elevatorbath

Thank you for listening, it means the world ❤️❤️❤️

“S∞S”(Sinconía) was born from our belief in sound as a living organism, alive with resonance and vibration. The infinity symbol reflects a reciprocal flow of energy: a continuous exchange of sonic forces and interconnected life, echoing the ouroboros and its eternal cycle. As transductive bodies, we channel these processes to synchronise, becoming vessels for a shared exchange of energy, tuning into the invisible currents beneath.

“On ‘Thresholds’, Andrew Anderson assembles a disquieting tapestry of foley‑like detail, field recordings and dream logic, a vinyl debut where precise sound art slips into phantasmagoria, hovering at the edge of memory, image and pure atmosphere.” — Soundohm

Andrew Anderson :: Thresholds (Elevator Bath)

@donhaugen

Thresholds is an album that stays with you. It subtly alters the way you listen. It opens a door into a liminal space where sound becomes memory, and memory becomes atmosphere. In doing so, Andrew Anderson has created a work that is both deeply personal and universally evocative, a rare and rewarding listening experience. by @elevatorbath

Coming April 17th; available for pre-order now:

Elevator Bath proudly presents "Thresholds", Andrew Anderson's long-awaited new album, his second for the label and first ever vinyl LP.

The distant rumblings of an approaching storm, the squeaking of unidentified objects moving across a surface, beautiful sustained tones, chopped voice snippets — these elements and countless others wrestle for supremacy in Anderson's compositions. Ultimately his unique phrasings and dream logic both prevail. Some of these sounds are recognizable but many are not. Instead, the thread of a disquieting atmosphere runs through these works, binding the diverse components into a set of eldritch musique concrète.

Stream one track and pre-order the full album on vinyl or digital formats now at Bandcamp (link in bio).

Issued on limited edition clear or black vinyl LPs in poly-lined inner sleeves inside gorgeous jackets with spot UV printing and flooded Pantone interior, featuring abstract photography by Anderson. Mastered for vinyl by Lawrence English @room40shoots and cut by Andreas Lubich @lupo_lubich.
