Another inspiring leader is joining our celebration! 🎉✂️

We’re honored to welcome Mayor Ukeme Awakessien Jeter of Upper Arlington to Eleven 11 Behavioral Solutions’ ribbon cutting! 💙❤️💛

The first Black mayor of Upper Arlington, an engineer, attorney, and award-winning author of IMMIGRIT, Mayor Ukeme is currently running for Ohio State Representative, House District 7!

During her tenure, she has helped expand opportunities for small, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses to compete for city contracts. She also advocated for their participation in the Bob Crane Community Center construction project, which exceeded its spending goal for small and minority-owned businesses. Her work has included championing more accessible and transparent opportunities to serve on city boards and commissions and pushing for a comprehensive housing study to help plan for the community’s future.

Her leadership reminds us why representation matters—and why our children deserve to see leaders who reflect the possibilities ahead of them.

As a Black woman-owned business serving children with autism and their families, we’re grateful to celebrate this milestone alongside leaders who recognize the importance of opportunity and community. Thank you, Mayor Ukeme, for joining us as we begin this next chapter!

We will be closed tomorrow, October 10, through October 17 as we get our new clinic ready for you!

🏠 Monday, October 19: First day of services in our new clinic space!

During this time, you can still message us with questions through our communication portal. We’re here to support you throughout the transition!

💬 Keep practicing communication at home! Set aside 15 minutes each day to work on the skills your child has been practicing with their therapy team. Use play, reading, meals, and everyday routines to encourage requesting, making choices, and asking for help through words, gestures, or their communication device.

🌳 Looking for activities next week? Consider We Rock the Spectrum @wrtscolumbus for inclusive play or enjoy some outdoor family time at Blendon Woods Metro Park!

We’re honored to welcome The Honorable Judge Lasheyl Stroud to Eleven 11 Behavioral Solutions’ ribbon cutting! ✂️💙❤️💛. Franklin County’s Lead Juvenile Judge.

Judge Stroud has supported Eleven 11 over the years, and having her celebrate this milestone with us makes this extremely special to our team. Her commitment to youth and families extends from the courtroom into our community.

She helped launch Franklin County’s Juvenile Felony Diversion Program in partnership with the Prosecutor’s Office, giving eligible young people opportunities to take accountability, repair harm, and move forward with support. She also oversees Family Recovery Court, Juvenile Recovery Court, and Empowerment Court, connecting parents facing substance use challenges, youth affected by drugs or alcohol, and young survivors of human trafficking with treatment, resources, and support.

Autistic youth are also part of the juvenile court system. Autism doesn’t stop at home, the clinic, or specialized schools—and neither should understanding, accommodations, and support. Our youth deserve to have their communication and behavioral needs recognized in every setting, including the justice system.

At Eleven 11, we see why collaboration between families, providers, and community leaders matters. Judge Stroud’s presence is an opportunity to bring these conversations into our celebration and highlight the need for support that follows our children wherever life takes them.

This is also why voting matters. Learning about candidates and making informed choices helps shape the systems that serve our children and families. Our voices matter, and our community’s participation matters. 🗳️

We’re excited to welcome Minority Autism Connection (MAC) to Eleven 11 Behavioral Solutions’ ribbon cutting celebration! ✂️🎉 Come meet the board, learn about the support MAC provides our community, and join them in celebrating Eleven 11’s new home.

MAC’s founding board members are parents with firsthand experience navigating the world of autism. For families exploring services or looking for connection, this is a wonderful opportunity to speak with Simon’e and Kenny, ask questions, and connect with people who understand the journey from a parent’s perspective.

You’ll also have the opportunity to speak with Brianna and Markita for clinical insight, resources, and support as you explore your family’s needs.

🎉 SURPRISE, SURPRISE! Eleven 11 Behavioral Solutions is moving to Columbus—Ohio House District 2, to be exact! ❤️💙💛

We’re ecstatic to begin this chapter in the district represented by State Representative Latyna Humphrey, and honored to welcome her to our ribbon-cutting celebration!

The majority of the children we serve attend Columbus City Schools. Moving into the community so many of our families call home makes this milestone especially meaningful. It brings us closer to their neighborhoods and strengthens our mission of meeting families where they are. 🏡

Representative Humphrey’s work reflects the importance of creating opportunities and investing in our communities—from HB 31 and HB 268 to supporting home-based entrepreneurs through HB 134. Her advocacy for community funding through Senate Bill 450, including $600,000 for Bridgeway Academy renovations, holds special meaning for us as an organization serving the Autism population and other developmental needs.

Earlier this year, following the heartbreaking assault of a child with Autism outside the Linden Library, Representative Humphrey emphasized the need for mentorship, mental health resources, and youth programs. That call resonates deeply with our work: helping children build skills, supporting families, and creating opportunities for meaningful community inclusion.

We’re grateful to celebrate alongside a leader whose priorities connect with the needs of our families, our community, and businesses like Eleven 11.

Representative Humphrey, thank you for joining us as we open our doors to this next chapter. We look forward to Representative Latyna Humphrey discuss the importance of voting 🗳️ and her support for Eleven 11.

🤫➡️🎉 The Cat is out the bag!!

We’re moving our clinic out of Gahanna! While we’re sad to leave the place where we opened our first clinical space, we’re excited for a new chapter and the opportunity to support even more children and families. 💙❤️💛

Gahanna, thank you for welcoming us, believing in our mission, and supporting our growth. This is a “see you later,” because our support for Gahanna families and organizations will continue!

And we’re excited to announce that Mayor Laurie Jadwin will join us for our ribbon cutting! 🎀✂️ She’ll celebrate this milestone, speak about the importance of voting, and help give us a special Gahanna “see you later.”

Mayor Jadwin previously presented Eleven 11 and our founder, Markita Cumberlander, with a proclamation recognizing our work with neurodivergent children and their families. Having her join us as we prepare to open our new doors makes this a meaningful, full-circle moment. ✨
