BOF 26-04 just finished week 2 and ended the week with Live Fire 🔥 training, advancing 1 3/4 and 2 1/2” lines. We ended the day with some camaraderie building and had some refreshing old school water barrel fights while working on nozzle and hose handling. Week 1 in the books for Full-time BOF Academy 26-04. Recruits learned how to use their SCBA, were challenged on our wire entanglement drills, self rescue and learning how to maneuver and adjust their air packs. Not to mention being introduced to fire academy PT and being in gear and air pack all day. by @elgincc_ces

🔥26-03 has officially completed their last class on Friday and will be graduating this coming week! We are proud of this tight knit group that started with 22 and ended with a strong 16 👊🏽!

One of the most impressive accomplishments this recruit class made was attending the funeral of Schaumburg firefighter Evan Zibell under the orders from one of their class leads Lt. Ferreiro. This was very important for them attend not only to pay their respects to a fallen brother, but to show them how real this profession.

In honor of Evan Zibell , the members of local 4092 are proud to host this apparel fundraiser to support Evan’s wife and children following his passing on April 11, 2026.

Evan was more than a firefighter. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and member of the fire service family. His dedication to serving others and commitment to his community left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

To honor his legacy and help support his family during this difficult time, we are offering commemorative shirts and sweatshirts. 100% of the proceeds from every purchase will go directly to Evan’s wife and kids.

Your support means more than words can express. Whether you purchase apparel, share this fundraiser, or simply keep Evan’s family in your thoughts, you are helping carry on the brotherhood and compassion that Evan lived every day.

Thank you for standing with the Zibell family and local 4092 through this difficult time.

Bailing out of windows, cutting rebar, breaking locks, forcing doors, 35’ ladder throws, stretching lines and searching. Is what recruit class 26-03 has been working on this week. by @elgincc_ces
