Officially an IL fireman

Can’t believe we made it through Academy. Thank you to my family, Chief Two Bulls for making this 2-year journey a possibility, and HPFD Station 16 for pushing me to get my BOF.

I am incredibly grateful to go into the fire service and honored to eventually serve alongside you all.

So proud of you, Spencer. Watching you graduate fire academy and receive the Team Leader Award fills my heart with so much joy, because it reflects the hard work, discipline, and heart you’ve shown every step of the way!

You didn’t just complete a challenge - you led with strength, and proved what kind of man you are. Your dedication and leadership make me proud beyond words, and I know you’re going to make a difference in so many lives.

Congratulations! I love you deeply, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for you. Mom❤️

The last evolution was a tough one. We definitely had a lot of learning moments in the burn tower, but we all worked together to get the job done. Looking forward to hazmat ops with this crew next week :)
