Time to get back into work mode and continue on with a new collection for the fast approaching changing seasons ahead ✹

As much as I adore the summer and I am a sun worshipper through and through, I can’t help but feel a cosy warm glow when that first crisp early morning chill hits you and the chance to get wrapped up in some beautiful natural layers is finally here ✹

I have some beautiful new ideas bubbling away with salvaged sheepskins and a new waistcoat style coming out that I am super excited about. Autumn and Christmas markets are being booked for the pop up mobile store and my little workspace is brimming with salvaged and secondhand textiles galore ✹

This summer has been a little crazy this year and I have felt like a ship without a rudder….It feels like it has come and gone in a blink of an eye ✹

I haven’t really had the time to do what I love to do the most and that’s just sit with a table full of salvaged textiles and create. But that said we now have a beautiful mobile truck that’s there and ready for all its future adventures and a welcoming space to house my work ✹

Sometimes sacrifices have to be made to move forward and the excitement of cosy days with my woodburner on sewing in my little space gives me warm joy ✹

Im never really ever ready for September. It sometimes eases in on a whim, and you barely notice it’s upon you. Or it can be here so abruptly with its finality to the warmth and haze of a lengthy summer ✹

The sounds around you change and the air feels heavier with the onset of shorter days ahead. The glow of summer is still on your skin and you are not quite ready to embrace the change ✹

I love all the seasons. I spent years chasing the endless summer travelling and desperately missed that feel of the changing months and the different joy they bring ✹

So I’m going to say ‘hey September’ and look forward to the Autumn change. I have so many beautiful newly sourced textiles that will be an absolute pleasure to work with and bring some beautiful handmade uniqueness to secondhand September ✹

Haven’t had the chance to be active on here for a while as I’ve been knee deep in wedding preparations (18 days to go EEEEEKKKKK) so I decided to get in the truck today and film a little reel of a few beautiful bits in store ✹

I have so many gorgeous pieces and putting them together is so much fun. Mixing handmade with vintage and playing with colours and textiles. August may be officially over but there is still plenty of sunshine and hazy days in September to still wear those sunshine hues before we cosy up@for Autumn ✹

I have a beautiful new collection of freshly sourced vintage and secondhand textiles, and a refreshed and tidied workspace to crack on and make some magic happen and I can’t bloody wait! ✹

Been enjoying a bit of much needed family and friends time lately…being with the ones you love is THE most important thing. We live in such a beautiful place and spending time out in the summer to enjoy our homeland however busy it is here is a must ✹

10 years seem to have flown by and a lot has happened within this time for us. Lots of happiness and tears hand in hand. With 5 truck builds and many crazy projects in between, our lives have been perpetual motion with always something going on and somewhere to be ✹

Finally settling 3 years ago with a fabulous off grid build which has given us a grounding and a base to carry out more crazy schemes. We then built my EL HOBO workspace, the mobile store and its crazy offshoot HOBO A GO GO all whilst working, creating and general life! ✹

Anyway it’s all been one hell of a ride and together, Pablo and I have achieved so much……so we are finally GETTING MARRIED 🌸🌸…..in 6 weeks time ✹

With so many beautiful people on board it’s going to be one hell of a celebration, nothing fancy but a beautiful day of rustic secondhand charm none the less and we are so very happy to be planning our ultimate adventure yet!✹

What a fabulous weekend popping up in our beautiful old truck ✹

Sadly we couldn’t join @project83 for their pre loved sale due to not being enough space for the old girl to fit in and leave room for much needed customers, and that’s what is so very important to all small local businesses. I hope you went along anyway and found yourself some fabulous secondhand bits and enjoyed a pint or two at the bar . The pre loved sales there are such fun, and have the best community feel and vibe ✹

Anyway we went on Saturday and parked up on the lawn @retorrickmill and ended up staying through till Monday morning…and still we didn’t want to leave! This place has my heart. The vibe hasn’t changed in years, it’s still the most charmingly laid back, friendly venue nestled in the valley a stones throw from Mawgan Porth beach. It is one of Cornwalls true hidden gems and you can get lost in time there. The food is to die for… @buccas.kitchen in their beautiful open kitchen serving the best wood fired pizzas and extended menu ✹

The live music was fabulous kicking off in the afternoon then as the sun went down over the sea, the fire got lit and the DJ took over until the early hours of the morning. I have not danced so much in ages or enjoyed such a wonderful evening around wonderful people. Wilf and dawn and the whole crew are absolute legends ✹

All of that plus trading in our lovely mobile store. We have been overwhelmed with people’s response to our little truck of joy. It is so lovely to have a shop space again and actually communicate face to face, I have missed that. Thankyou so so very much for all that came and purchased and supported us this weekend, we love and appreciate you all so much ✹

This Thursday we will be popping up @lulacornwall and we can’t wait for another day in a fabulous location with some new faces, spreading the joy of handmade, vintage and salvaged ✹

Another week ahead next week of fabulous local venues to take our beloved mobile store to ✹

We are joining the fabulous @lulacornwall on Thursday 30th July for their ENDLESS SUMMER event. Situated in the beautiful location of Godrevy Towans, Gwithian for an afternoon/evening event….grab your beach blanket for the outdoor cinema experience showing ‘Tangled’ for the kids at 3pm then the screening of the 1963 classic surf film ‘endless summer’ at 6.30pm. Followed by live music with fab food and drinks throughout the whole day ✹

Then we are off to the amazing @ecopark.cornwall Sunday 2nd Aug 12-5pm for another one of their beautiful SUMMER MARKETS ✹

This isn’t just a fayre….it’s a vibrant community celebration packed with live music, DJs, workshops, family activities, and inspiring independent stalls. Set in the beautiful Orchard Field, covered atrium and rustic timber-framed barn, the whole space transforms into a mini festival atmosphere and we can’t wait to park up in this beautiful space ✹

Keep a look out for what’s in store the following week soon ✹

This weekend we can’t wait to visit our lovely local venues @retorrickmill on Saturday 25th July for their Cider Festival and @projecteightythree on Sunday for their popular pre-loved market ✹

Two amazing venues that we absolutely love and are just on our doorstep ✹

If you are out and about this weekend in the Newquay/Mawgan Porth area you can pop by either or both as they are free events with plenty of good vibes and local joy…..everyone’s welcome ✹

With great beer, music and food on site it’s going to be a fabulous weekend ✹
