An interesting project this week with @beachguardian at their HQ. I set up and supplied this great piece of Kit (Singer 319k that my wife learned to sew on!) to sew bags made from festival tents that the misguided leave behind...what can we do? Yes!! Let's do THIS! โœจNow Soldโœจ This beautiful piece began its life in the hands of a wonderful fellow makerโ€ฆ @elhobostore ๐ŸŒธ The natural form of this deer antler, worn smooth by time, already carried so much character and history. When it came to me, I felt called to add a small touch of silver and this earthy turquoise stone โ€” something subtle that would honour the original piece while bringing a little of my own language into it. Turquoise has long been seen as a protective stone, a companion for travellers and wanderers, so felt right for this special piece.. I love how collaborations like this allow a piece to hold more than one story, more than one pair of hands. A conversation between makers. Between materials. Between past and present. Thereโ€™s something really special about that ๐Ÿค Would look great on either a piece of vintage fabric or on an oxidised silver chain.. What do you think? โœจ
