On Saturday, I got to hold one of the ceremonial shovels when CommUnityCare, with the Central Health System, officially broke ground on the Colony Park Health and Wellness Center project.
Part of CommUnityCare's vision is to provide the right care, at the right time, in the right place; and this project will help realize that vision for all of our neighbors in Colony Park. taken in Colony Park by @eli.stroud

Did a lot of on-the-job learning, but I think I was a pretty good production manager considering I've had no experience. It's been so much fun getting to be part of the @bluelapislight team, and I'll remember the long hours of hard work fondly, having been able to spend them together with such amazing people. by @eli.stroud

These past two months, I've been serving as the production manager for Blue Lapis Light, a local non-profit, and our annual public benefit show, Urban Dreaming, opens tomorrow at the RBJ Center near downtown. The show runs the 18th-21st and the 25th-28th of September.

The team and I have been working super hard to make this an incredible experience, and these are some of the photos from our rehearsals. I would love for everyone who can to come be a part of this sublime experience.

Tickets are available at $25 for GA ground seating, $45 for GA chair seats, and $65 for reserved premium seats in the front three
rows.

We wouldn't be able to put on performances like this without our incredible volunteers. If you’re interested, follow the link in my bio to fill out the volunteer interest form. As a thank you, volunteers receive free GA chair tickets for a night of their choice.

To learn more about Blue Lapis Light initiatives, the show, or to purchase tickets, visit bluelapislight.org/2025-urban-dreaming or visit the link in my bio. I hope to see all y'all there! taken in RBJ Senior Housing by @eli.stroud

It's crazy to me that these dogs pulled us over 5 miles without breaking a sweat after pulling a sled hundreds of miles in a competitive race only about a week or two ago. These little guys train here at Alpine for sled races while waiting to be adopted into a loving home that can care for them as huskies, and I'm hopeful they all will get to spend the rest of their lives running around in temperatures that made me feel like I was getting frostbite hahaha taken in Alpine Adventures Dogsledding by @eli.stroud

On Wednesday, September 8th, Travis County Central Health's Board of Managers approved the 2023 Budget, which lowers the property tax rate for Travis County residents by more than 10% while simultaneously increasing the money being put towards healthcare delivery by $91 million!
This means:
• Shorter wait times at the doctor's office
• Ensuring continuity of care even after discharge from the hospital
• Proactive support for those with substance use disorders
• Providing care for Diabetes, Heart Disease, Kidney Disease, and other conditions to more people than ever
• And lower costs at the pharmacy together with better support to keep on track with medication schedules
Tomorrow, the Travis County Commissioner's Court will make a final vote on the budget, and its approval will be a huge win for our community as a whole. Follow the link in my bio so you can learn more about the budget and participate in how our community's health equity plan is implemented! by @eli.stroud
