Incredible Memorial Day weekend with some of my favorite people! Very grateful for the connections I’ve made in life and the relationships that I have.

@1steptraining put on a great Murph workout that definitely humbled tf out of me. I’m always so impressed by @bradenfitz04 & @kiersten183 and the community they have built.
I met some of the coolest people John & Kyle with @meltsaunatruck and it felt like meeting old friends. They are doing amazing things in the community and bringing people together in a way Henderson Ky has never seen. I look forward to watching their passion spread throughout the community.
& lastly I got to spend time with my second family @tess_floyd @molly.j.floyd @ginsueflo
I love them very much and I’ll be rocking with them till the day I die 🫶🏻
Also great to see my cousins and GBs!!

Great week up at @skydivechicago for the Vertical World Record and All American Big Ways!
The whole week was an experience of a lifetime! Seeing hundreds of canopies in the sky together, working side by side with all the ground crew to keep 11 planes going, and seeing all my friends accomplish something big together was fantastic. Thank you @martin_aviation for all they do and congratulations to all the people involved in making it happen!

Reserve ride #3 today. I’m not entirely sure the cause but here is my theory.
I was wearing camera wings. When I deployed my main there was a slight delay and then a pop from my reserve firing. In the saddle under reserve at 4,000 feet. My theory is that while free flying camera wings the right wing hooked my cutaway handle and pulled my reserve cable out releasing my three rings resulting in an RSL reserve deployment after deploying my main canopy.
These are the jumps that help us grow as jumpers. Camera wings are super fun to fly but there is also an additional set of risks that come along with them. It’s always good to reevaluate what gear you want to be skydiving with. When choosing what gear you want to add to your skydive make sure you understand the additional risks and possible procedures you might be adding to the jump.
