ARTIST ASSEMBLY GOES BOWLING
Bowling is a sport that brings the best and worst out of people. It is played by those with nothing better to do and by those with much better to do. It is not for the faint of heart. Bowling is many things and nothing all at once. Bowling is life.

Reserve your spot (30 spots). DM @elibucksbaum

Artist Assembly Bowling is coming to Shatto Lanes on September 1 — where disciplines will be pinned against each other to determine who reigns supreme in the art world’s newest, most consequential competition.

Pick your side. Bowl it out. Settle your beefs on the lanes.

6 Teams. 5 Per Team.

A cash prize will be awarded to the highest individual cumulative score across all games.

A secondary prize will be awarded to the highest cumulative team score.

If you’ve never been to an Artist Assembly before, fear not. Artist Assembly gathers 1–2 times a month at Studio MAXIMA, where Eli collects cool chairs and invites interesting people to sit on them while discussing pressing topics in our creative world. Welcome to the 63rd one!

Eli Bucksbaum is redesigning how we sit together. From Aspen to Los Angeles, the founder of @studio_maxima_ and co-founder of @autobody.autobody and the Aspen Design Conference is turning chairs into conduits for conversation and creativity. For Bucksbaum, design isn’t about objects — it’s about creating unique conditions for participation. We asked him about his journey, and he told all for Minerva People. The full conversation is now live on LinkedIn. by @elibucksbaum

Lamp Show! Save The Date 💡
November 7th | 6135 Wilshire Blvd | Opening 7PM

Joseph and Eli love lamps. So here you go — Lamp Show.

So much so that we’re doing it in a 13,000 sq. ft. office building currently in flux to become another office building called Wilshire Online @wilshireonline

We’re coming up on one full year of being the “eccentrically named Los Angeles gallery AUTOBODY autobody” (thanks, @hyperallergic )

To close out 2025, we’re taking up empty, idle space with an exhibition of light.

See you there. It’s going to be a doozy.
